If both songs are high enough when they fall to ACR, it won’t get the 25% boost needed for a reset because it will be high enough already

not with the automatic 25% reset - the label will more than likely request manual resets and they'll be granted same as adele earlier this year - she got manually reset and got another week at #1 because of it!

09 Drake & 21 Savage - Rich Flex

08 Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

Mariah should jump to top 5 thanks to today (Sunday) & December 1st Effect!

Taylor Swift tracks for a sixth consecutive week atop the Official Singles Chart with Anti-Hero, having released a brand-new acoustic version of the track this week. But the deal’s far from sealed, as Meghan Trainor is quickly catching up.

Meghan’s viral hit Made You Look is set to claim a new peak this Friday, climbing to Number 2 at the midweek mark. Could it go all the way and become Meghan’s first Number 1 single since 2015 Charlie Puth collab Marvin Gaye?

Venbee, goddard. and ArrDee are also on the ascent this week, looking to score a new Number 3 peak with drum ‘n’ bass cut messy in heaven. Another future Number 1 contender?

Anne-Marie and Aitch are on the rebound with PSYCHO, set to jump into the Top 5 for the first time in its 11th week on chart (4).

As he releases his new LP This Is What I Mean, Stormzy’s Hide & Seek (6) and the sublime Firebabe (7) look set for new peaks, as Dermot Kennedy’s Kiss Me also tracks for a new best in its 13th week on the chart (14).

With the World Cup under way, Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds’ anthemic Three Lions looks to edge closer to the Top 10 this week (12). Could the lads’ festive version of the track – Three Lions (It’s Coming Home For Christmas) – have a shot at this year’s Christmas Number 1? See all the contenders for the coveted Christmas chart-topper here.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, as a host of festive favourites make their ascent midweek. Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You (8) and Wham!’s Last Christmas (10) could both climb into the Top 10 for the first time this year, as Ed Sheeran and Elton John’s Merry Christmas eyes a return to the Top 20 (16).

And finally, RAYE looks set to leap into the Top 20 with her viral hit Escapism featuring 070 Shake (18).

The Official Chart: First Look offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

not sure why they're mentioning arrdee in the post lol! hes not credited, hes not the reason its doing well and they don;t play his version

again with the occ being dumb with credits lol!

Could be Amazon songs

Or Jason manford

That's a good one there.

If 'Psycho' actually makes the top 5 I will be FUMING.

I was hoping we'd seen the last of that a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe it might fall behind Stormzy and Oliver Tree and stall at #6

All I Want For Christmas Is You is set for its 35th top 10 week this Friday - that would equal a record set 69 years ago by Frankie Laine with I Believe.

Frankie Laine did his 35 weeks in 1 uninterrupted run - this will be the 9th top 10 visit by Mariah Carey.

Oh gosh Mariah and Wham both top 10 today  I do wish for a switch in Christmas songs though as it's gets very boring seeing those as the frontrunners but it's what people like and steam I suppose. Listening habits needs spicing up.

Edited by Roba!

Based on the sales of the no.1 (47,851) and the no.8 (24,312) on the Official 'chart' on Friday, Mariah could already really be no.1 this week (ie without ACR)!!!!!!!

I’d quite like to see Meghan clinch it! It is a bit of a bop!
Mariah should jump to top 5 thanks to today (Sunday) & December 1st Effect!

Won't the December 1st effect not reflect on this week's chart since that date is a Thursday and the biggest streaming platforms don't count Thursday's streams accurately and only estimate based on rest of week?

Yup, though it won't be totally misrepresented as the streams should increase during the week as we approach Thursday.

Do we have a direct link where can I check Amazon UK chart? Thanks
