Icesis was robbed BLIND of winning this ball, like… what on earth. I’d have put her over Silky tbh, I think Victoria’s first two looks were strong enough for her to be in the top, even though her first let her down, Silky was strong across all 3 but didn’t have the high highs of Victoria’s first two looks.

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion but I high key can't stand Vicky Scone. - she just isn't that good and I don't get what the judges are seeing? That, and she seems holier than thou throughout.

I reckon it'll be boring "shocking" elims going forward too which just makes me not want to watch tbh.

I also haven't enjoyed her that much which surprised me! She's fine... but I expected to be a big fan of her.

I think in a way going straight to AllStars (or the closest thing this is) was a mistake instead of doing a regular season first because aside from runways she feels a bit out of her depth. I was struck by her makeup in the lipsync, she really closed her face off from being able to connect emotionally to the track &emote it to the judges/audience. (Things I notice more after I started attending live drag pageants...!)

On the contrary I've enjoyed Vanity way more than I expected. I kinda expected her to have a Roxxxy/India edit of doing well as a redemption E1 and then struggling at everything else (as she had an iffy run on her original season) but she's been really quite solid! She's been getting screentime too so I hope we don't lose her soon.

I really enjoyed this ep up until the judging (and to an extent the runways). I do think some of them made a mistake by wearing blue. Icesis was for me hands down the best in every category. 2nd places I would say Vanity for the lingerie, Silky for the winter glamour coat, and Ra'Jah for the designed look. I thought Silky's looked very messy although that might have been the material, good concept and she thought it through well but the execution was sloppy. As for Victoria's it was a good bodysuit but the leaf things were falling off it and for both of them, they didn't really use much unconventional materials.

Surprisingly this is also the first season I've enjoyed Silky. I liked what she said to Anita after she left and I liked her quiet shadiness going around the workroom during the episode as well.

I completely get why she wasn’t in the top for Bonjour Hi as everyone bar the bottom 3 (and Anita wasn’t bad by any means) did really well, but this week I’m completely baffled. She was by far and away the best across all 3 categories and I thought her constructed look was by miles the best one there and usually they seem to weight that more in a Ball. It almost feels like either they don’t want her to run away with it or they wanted everyone to have a win (and pretty much equal track records with only Rita having a bottom)? I do think Victoria and Silky did really well, so I don’t begrudge either of them being top 2, but both over Icesis is insane to me. Thinking about it Icesis actually had my favourite look for all 3 categories, in a fashion forward way that you’d only really get from Icesis.

I kind of agree about Victoria too, I do like her but I’m not entirely sure there’s that oomph and spark there, at least I’ve not really seen it yet. She’s good at what she does, she does it well, but I agree it might have been a mistake to do this rather than UK4. You’ve got the likes of Icesis, Ra’Jah and Silky who are big characters and huge competitors, and she isn’t fully out of her shell or up there yet for me, I think she could be though. I guess she has a lot of pressure being the only rep for AFAB drag queens, and that feels like it’s keeping her down a bit.

As an aside the reaction to her whole fish saga from last episode is disgusting low-key, like she calmly asked a cis male drag queen about it and explained why it might be offensive and white gays are harping on about her silencing black trans women, acting like she went into the New York ballroom scene and murdered them all for saying it. I think it shows the intolerance of our community sadly. Hollow Eve from Dragula had a similar discussion on her season but she was much more aggressive with it and kinda nasty, but Victoria had a small, calm conversation a week ago and people seem to still be jumping on it!

Although having said what I said about Victoria I think there's production fault as well.

Fundamentally I don't think it's fair to put queens who have only been on one season - and/or been early outs on that season - up against queens who have either already won a season, or already done a season AND an AllStars.

Silky, Ra'Jah and Icesis have the advantage of familiarity with the format and judges if they aren't being graded on a curve.

I do also understand Bonjour Hi — well, to an extent, because Rita Baga certainly didn't deserve to be in the top two. Icesis was my favourite but most of the queens did do well. The ball though? I can't remember the last time a queen was so obviously in the top and then... wasn't.

I find the reaction to Victoria Scone really insane — she's just not enough of a character or personality for the dislike and hate she's receiving online. She's... fine. People really are making her point for her.

As an aside, I don't hate Victoria for the fishy comment (well I don't hate her at all lol). I agree she said it calmly and the hate she's getting is very dramatic.

I just find her lacking that spark/oomph personally and there's something off about her personality. I would have actually preferred to have seen her on the last normal UK series but completely understand why she didn't.

Yeah I agree, that’s what’s bizarre, I find her inoffensive at worst too and it is baffling that people have such a reaction to… nothing almost as if they have to have beef with a season because there’s no other drama  It’s weird I’m not seeing many people say like us that she’s just there it’s either visceral hatred for the fish saga or loving her, neither of which I get really.

Icesis had by far the best looks, the judging was absolutely ridiculous. Silky in that shoddy lazy outfit at the end and “forgetting” her patterns. Sure.

Also where the f*** did Victoria find that fabric? I couldn’t see it anywhere in the pile. It was 95% of the whole outfit and it was clearly from a fabric wall.

Perhaps I'm going mad but I really enjoyed the episode and thought the judging was pretty on point! I thought Icesis' first and third looks were really good but didn't like her second look at all. Raja's looks just seemed to be paint by numbers Raja essentially - not to say they weren't good or executed well but there just wasn't much excitement about them.

Victoria's first look was amazing - first drag king on the runway of any franchise?! And when she ripped off the trousers/pants and revealed all the leg hair!! The best runway presentation of the night. Her second look was most probably my favourite look of the night - absolutely loved it. I have a big soft spot for camp and Victoria just does it so exquisitely. I really enjoyed her third look and the concept, despite the leaves deflating a bit and her hair for that look *_*

Silky was very consistent with 3 very good looks. Her second look was beautiful and one of my favourites of the night.

Anita wasn't bad, but I couldn't help but notice she was essentially wearing similar outfits to the others but worse versions.

I was a bit worried when Rita was still on the stage as I thought she might be in the top with the positive bias that seems to gravitate towards her  Although I do enjoy her campy runway presentations/commentary.

Vanity's first look was SO GOOD. Her second look was also excellent but a bit samey. Her last look, whilst better than what she did on UK3, wasn't good. I was worried she might've been in the bottom 2 but thankfully she wasn't.
