April 10, 20232 yr Author But are album pre orders really much of a thing in the streaming era? Lewis’ fan base are far more streaming heavy. They definitely are in the era of big album bundles, especially as Lewis’ audience certainly isn’t exclusively young. Out of his debut album’s opening 90k sales, almost 60k of them weren’t from streaming!
April 11, 20232 yr pre-orders are everything, Lewis is not an streaming artist, what matters is the multiformats and the bundles and how many preorders you can get
April 11, 20232 yr Did seem a bit weird the documentary so early , isn't ed realising his like a couple of days before his album

April 14, 20232 yr Interested to see how Metallica performs sales-wise. Their last album opened with 57,769 in 2016 and the one before that was in 2008 with 75,164. I would assume a band like Metallica would retain a lot of their audience, especially with albums released so far apart, so 40k+ should be achievable.

April 25, 20232 yr It's not that hard to get to #1 on iTunes albums tbf :kink: I'd be here for either them or Everything But The Girl to pull it off as neither have had a #1 before, guess we'll have a clearer picture tomorrow of how much of the alleged stock of Taylor and The 1975's RSD releases is actually getting sold and counted (both seemed weirdly low on the Monday update though I know that'll be partly because some of the stock only went on sale online on Monday).

April 28, 20232 yr was wondering if the many big features will benefit the National album, I mean, Taylor, Sufjan, Phoebe I haven't bothered with the last couple National album but pre-ordered this on day 1 just cos of the features and even friends who buy 1 album a year did order it cos of the features too on the other hand, purist fans of The National might pass cos of the features :D some are very anti-Taylor judging by social media comments
