Posted January 1, 20232 yr PFSC SPECIAL: Best Pop of 2022 I want this to be a celebration of the very best Pop of 2022. You can choose anything that was released in 2022... as long as it is a POP release. So singles, album tracks, special releases etc... as long as it has a "Released in *insert month* 2022" release date. It's fair game. I will be using guidance from the placings of artists within these genre forums, so if their thread is located in any of the other genre forums, then there is a high chance it won't be included. However, I do appreciate some artists do have some "pop" moments amongst their albums so I won't be TOO strict, but please stick to as pop as you can possibly get. An example of that could be (I'll use last year as an example) Tinashe's '³³³' album is located in the R&B and Hip-Hop forum (rightfully so) but 'The Chase' - a song from that album - is very much a pop moment. So that kinda thing I won't mind. Ultimately though, I will have the final say. I want this to be a celebration of the best pop releases of the year. YOUR favourites. Try not to go for something just coz you think it will win this contest. Go for something you have LOVED from this year. If someone takes your artist first, I will be asking for your next choice. If your chosen artist is a featured artist and is being used by someone else (as a solo artist or vice-versa), you will be asked to reconfirm with a different artist. In the rare occurrence of covers, samples, interpolations etc... I don't mind them being entered, but if someone else confirms with a track that has also used that same track, then you will be asked to reconfirm. All the lengthy parts are out the way here is the only other rule: - An artist with an "Artist Forum" here on Buzzjack CANNOT be entered. January 1, 20232 yr Just checking, are we supposed to send something obscure, or are we able to send an artist who had a #1 album in 2022 or would that be too cheap? I’m not sure what rules to play by when it comes to “The Best Of” but I will play fair once I know.

As long as they don't have an Artist Forum here on Buzzjack and they're pop, that's fine (also an unwritten rule - but it's not a big thing if someone does - but try and avoid BJSC/other forum contest faves etc..) I just want a celebration of ALL things Pop. I've already seen like 4 artists I've heard about but not heard any of their material confirmed. So it's up to you. It doesn't HAVE to be a single either. If there is an album track you love by someone then feel free to send that.

January 1, 20232 yr Sent a song that I’m pretty sure will either be DQed or taken, but I have a strong obscure choice for my #2 as well.
January 3, 20232 yr Need to have a dig through my 2022 playlists to find something suitable for this as the first ones that come to mind are far too obvious artists :kink:
