September 21, 20231 yr Thanks to Andy on Haven (certifications come from ChartPlus): 400k Fantasia – When I see u Really happy to see this! Fantasia hasn't had a single chart in the UK charts. It went silver back in 2021 and now gold ~2 1/2 years later. It seems like the song may have gone viral somewhat this year on TikTok or something as the music video on youtube got its most views in a day back in July. Perhaps a platinum certification in 2025?
September 21, 20231 yr Not saying this is the reason for its success (especially if it was already certified in 2021) but there was certainly a version of it that went at least semi viral a couple of years ago so that might have given its numbers since then a boost although I'd recommend not reading much about it if you don't want to ruin the wholesomeness of the original song :P Foolio - When I See You, a comically disrespectful rap song which was a response to another song that sampled Vanessa Carlton's 'A Thousand Miles' as part of a big gang beef in Florida, they went viral just due to the ridiculousness of the samples contrasted with the lyrical content. That version is the only reason I know it exists oop the Vanessa Carlton sampling one is kind of a banger even if it is horribly disrespectful
