Planning to post these monthly again.

Positions for both singles and albums will come from the brilliant UKChartsPlus.

Albums sales estimates are from vidcapper at Havenforum, and singles sales estimates will be my own.

I’m actually planning to do the first singles one next week but here is the albums update for the first four weeks of the year.

Maybe 5 years or so? It’s a million or so behind Shape Of You and outselling it by a couple of hundred k per year.

I'm surprised Shivers is only 2,000 behind Bad Habits for this year so far. Has Shivers recently gone viral? Or is it going to end up ahead of Bad Habits in the future?

No special boost as far as I’m aware - think Shivers is genuinely having really good longevity. On a similar note I’m mightily impressed that Save Your Tears is still out-streaming the monster that is Blinding Lights.

Happy to answer any queries regarding where an album is in the 41-100 region.

Beatles 1 please. Position and YTD sales.

I know there are still 11 months ,eft in the year but Miley is going to build herself quite a

Sad by the end of the first quarter of this year.

I've noticed Shivers has been marginally ahead of Bad Habits for a while now

in all 3 platforms, Spotify, Amazon and Apple

particularly Amazon

I'm fairly confident we'll see Raye and Miley in the year end Top 10 - maybe even Top 2 for Miley!!

Which date is was the first tracking week for the sales figures?

The chart revealed on 6 Jan (week ending 12 Jan)

Based on the sales archives total, for 10th and 11th JulianT suggests Rema and Meghan Trainor both did 104,000 sales,

By looking at the sales figures, My calculations shows Rema on 103,952 and Meghan Trainor 103,717 in order to break the tie for 10th

I wonder if Bad Habits will pass the 3m sales mark this week?

Unless we get a massive hit later in the year, I feel that Miley is almost locked for #1 in the year end chart. She'll likely get a boost album release week as well so can see her on 800k-1 million by the end of March.
