March 21, 20232 yr OMG that's a really poor placing for Louise, especially given how well-received her recent revival has been! Was expecting her to finish much higher than that, not on par with the likes of Susan Boyle and Tori Kelly. No other standouts in that batch, though Tina Arena does have a lovely voice and a bunch of decent songs too. Oh, and Natalie Cole's 'Miss You Like Crazy' is a pretty good 80s ballad.
March 21, 20232 yr Quen SuBo :cheeseblock: Alexa, play 'Enjoy The Silence'. Quite surprised Agnes only attracted the one low vote, though I guess she's not big as a chart artist beyond the one hit. And I don't really know Louise's music but also quite surprising she didn't get more love as she seems to have quite a following on here
March 21, 20232 yr Oh Agnes :o well I love 'Release Me' and she still makes great music now, with 'Fingers Crossed' being my favourite in recent times. Definitely my favourite to drop out so far.
March 21, 20232 yr Ooh I forgot about Louise when doing mine, she could potentially have scraped the bottom end of my list!
March 21, 20232 yr I voted for some pretty obscure ones but pleasing none have shown yet. Lol at Tones and I so low. 'Dance Monkey' us definitely one of music's biggest crimes
March 22, 20232 yr 'Release Me' my EOY #1 for 2009. Good to see Agnes recognition in general to be nommed here. Susan Boyle :cheeseblock: 'Wild Horses' that she covered was very moving I must say. Louise I'd also have expected a bit higher tbh. Forgot to comment about Eliza Doolittle too with the pop bop 'Pack Up'

March 22, 20232 yr Shara Nelson has a great voice and sounded amazing in the Massive Attack songs but don't think I know any of her solo songs Cher lloyd :D no comment
March 22, 20232 yr Eve's of course a old school smash but nice to see Ofra Haza here too. Obviously only came aware of that song via BJSC in 2018 and sounded so influenced by Madonna!
March 22, 20232 yr Ofra Haza *.* ‘Im Nin’alu’ is fab and I also really like ‘Temple of Love’ with Sisters of Mercy ‘Let Me Blow Ya Mind’ is my favourite Eve related song, even if slightly tainted by ‘Doja’ in recent times x
March 22, 20232 yr Love Let Me Blow (Your Mind teehee). Great sang!! Cher L  She even wanted to be called Cher L on the X Factor! Terrible. Producers also forgot she started with hip hop, not rnb!
March 22, 20232 yr Did Ed just pick 30 people no one else would have nominated on purpose? x ('Im Nin'Alu' is a good tune though, also discovered via BJSC).
March 22, 20232 yr What were the chances of me listening to my Shara Nelson just as she appears in the thread :o
March 22, 20232 yr Cher Lloyd actually has some pretty decent songs! I debated putting her on my list but she’s just not had enough material and the material that’s there is hit/miss. I’d be here for some kind of Masked Singer UK stint / career revival from her though. I wonder if she’ll ever release another full length album too. Sirens the lead from her second album is her best single by a mile but typically it just missed the top 40 here!
March 22, 20232 yr Let Me Blow Ya Mind & Gangsta Lovin’ were two of my favourite songs in the early 2000’s, so happy to see Eve here.
