I was reminded of this recently because of the new Switch Disco ft Ella Henderson track - as it is another example of a dance track that uses Robert Miles style classical piano although this Artful Dodger ft. Michelle Escoffery track doesn't sample Robert Miles. 'Do You Think About Me' is great, the piano makes it a very lovely song.

#11 hit sadly :(

another one from... a Christian band, peaked at 4 in 2010 around Easter. Remember there being a campaign to get it in the chart.

Funnily enough they are not far from where I am.

If 'Husan' is forgotten it needs to be unforgotten immediately, what a banger. (Admittedly it's kind of just diet 'Mundian To Bach Ke' but still)

I loved 'Husan' at the time, I even bought it on single!

I remember it basically piggybacked off that advert, which was all over TV for months but I can't recall what it was for or find it anywhere.

In reference to someone in the All Saints thread completely forgetting Saints & Sinners even had a third single, I think this deserves a nomination:

It's funny, but I think the reason why All Hooked Up has been forgotten is that All Saints themselves have barely performed it, which I think plays a huge part if a song is remembered or not. I checked Setlist.fm and they've only done it as a part of a medley since they've been back. If an artist can't bother keeping a song alive in the minds of the public, then why should we remember it?

Also, that video has a funny (and creepy!) concept, but it's so badly executed.

I guess continuing the All Saints' theme, I'd say Shaznay's solo debut is sadly forgotten (which it shouldn't be because it's an excellent piece of pop, damn you UK for sleeping on Shaz):

Anyone else remember Hanson getting another top 10 hit in 2005?

Having said that, they did perform this on Neighbours back in 2019.

I was thinking of the Shaznay song this week. I didn’t hear it until about 10 years ago but I’ve always enjoyed it.
Is this it the Peugeot 206 advert:

French car adverts did impact the charts quite a bit in the 00s - there were also the two Citroen robot ads to 'Jacques Your Body' and 'Love Don't Let Me Go' and Renault Megane's 'I See You Baby' advert.

These 3 songs had identical Top 40 runs of 10-28-x in 2003:

One True Voice - Shakespeare's Way With Words

Limp Bizkit - Eat You Alive

Pet Shop Boys - Miracles

I can only recall how one of them goes, unfortunately for me it's the One True Voice song

I don't know if I would call PSB's Miracles "forgotten" - it pops up on their compilations and live shows; sure it's not exactly a well-known single but I think it's also one that people might remember once they hear it (their single have been seemingly frontloaded since the 90s).

Hahaha, same here!

Faye from Steps and classical singer Russell Watson had this top ten hit in 2002:

Lovely song but hardly commercial.

Talking of classical stars, here's Aled Jones with Terry Wogan as BandAged on Little Drumer Boy, No.3 in 2008:

I saw X Factor mentioned earlier which reminded me of this follow up to Leon's coronation single.

Leon wasn’t that terrible either to be fair. Not amazing, but not terrible.
