February 28, 20232 yr thank you everyone...and yes I will host next edition (assuming in 3 months or is it every 4 months?!). Thanks for offering to host. The plan is for each contest to be a month after Club Bizarre so the next one will be in May.
February 28, 20232 yr I’ll see what the next contest is before I get over my sour grapes   Fab hosting Jade and well done Addy!
February 28, 20232 yr I’ll also reconsider inflicting Alphas album on you for my March Album of the Month :kink:
February 28, 20232 yr I’ll also reconsider inflicting Alphas album on you for my March Album of the Month :kink:  :o :arrr: In all seriousness commiserations and the Alpha track really brought something extra to the mix when listening through, as did the Flowchart track, even though neither were going to trouble my Top 10. Obviously if I’d known the situation I’d have given Alpha a couple of points. :(
February 28, 20232 yr That’s me bowing out of this contest for a while then. How embarrassing. It finished joint eleventh in my list with a score just two points (out of 100) behind tenth place :( It was a little weird but still enjoyable.
February 28, 20232 yr I liked your track too Jester! Just not as much as most of the others :kink:  Thanks for hosting this edition Jade and apologies that I couldn't make the results. FSOL is an all time classic for me so I can't begrudge that winning at all - although your track Jade is definitely my main takeaway from the contest... that's two in a row where you've done a really good job of finding something very on theme, very high quality and that is really quite unknown :o
March 1, 20232 yr Author Thanks for all the kind words about the hosting  I liked your track too Jester! Just not as much as most of the others :kink:  Thanks for hosting this edition Jade and apologies that I couldn't make the results. FSOL is an all time classic for me so I can't begrudge that winning at all - although your track Jade is definitely my main takeaway from the contest... that's two in a row where you've done a really good job of finding something very on theme, very high quality and that is really quite unknown :o Glad that you thought so highly of both of my picks! *sends something cheap next time to throw you all off the scent… or will I *
March 1, 20232 yr Thanks for all the work jade, and thanks to everyone entering, sorry I missed out, maybe next time. For what it's worth I don't think my votes would have made much of a difference bar a 1 or 2 place climb for some outside the top 10. And well done Addy! Ones I know I liked: Electribe, Morcheeba, William Orbit, FSOL and most of the rest were new to me, but I know I enjoy Jean-Michel Jarre as an artist (as one of my BJSC entries testfies) and a bit of Holst (especially Manfred Mann's Earthband's Joybringer) :)
March 1, 20232 yr the worst offender being Another Word Explodes (this was legit torture music, sorry Bre!) <_< wow kick me while I'm down won't you. Well now at least I don't feel bad for saying I wish I'd given Jean-Michel Jarre a point instead of your entry! :basil: Actually tbf when I got back to your song in my relisten it was also sounding better than it did on first listen so I think actually in retrospect I'd have given that 2 points and 1 to JMJ with LFO being squeezed out instead. Also think I'd have swapped over William Orbit and POiSON GiRL FRiEND for what it's worth but none of those changes would affect any positions! I'm going to be saving 13 out of these 18 songs to my playlist anyway (yes including my own torture music, someone has to x), also including The Sabres Of Paradise, so basically most of you bringing good stuff here ^_^ Thanks for all the work jade, and thanks to everyone entering, sorry I missed out, maybe next time. For what it's worth I don't think my votes would have made much of a difference bar a 1 or 2 place climb for some outside the top 10. And well done Addy! You could have still submitted votes anyway if so...! (too late now ofc x)
March 18, 20232 yr Yes, where has Addy!'s new widget got to (and Chez's for BJSC while we're at it)...
