I’m starting to think there’s something with autoplay coming into effect for a song’s 2nd week - iirc all of the two above examples, You Only Love Me, Heaven, Die For You etc all had their ‘autoplay boost’ on their 2nd week of release. (And to add to this trend, potentially Labour and Heart Attack - Rock Version could be being boosted by it this week?)

Yeah I’ve noticed this as well, there’s definitely a trend for it. I’m sure Nicki’s latest had it as well

you're definitely into something with the 2nd week autoplay payola

was the same for Pink-Trustfall, also exploded in w2

think it makes more sense for a song that has flopped in w1 like Rita Ora

rather than a song tht has already peaked in w1 like Hozier or Taylor

oh an amazing to have the best band of the world AKA Boygenius with 2 songs top 200

including Not Strong Enough, song of the year <3

Edited by Bjork

Demi is definitely autoplay, it's come up literally everytime after I've played an album/playlist.

Not a single song from Davido in the Spotify top 200 then, not even the one that was #1 on NMF... (another L for the suggestion that being #1 on NMF is meant to be guaranteed first day success, but I am a bit surprised at just how huge the difference is from Apple Music in this case).

Great to see 'DOGTOOTH' top 20 anyway and Tyler charting 6 of his 7 new songs (I thought there were 8 new songs but after noticing he only has 7 new entries even in the US, I realised one of the new tracks is only a 28 second interlude lol). In the US most of the original album has also re-entered the top 200, no re-entries here but hopefully the original album tracks will also have seen a substantial bubbling under boost to help out with getting the album a decent re-entry position this week. Also a good showing for Melanie's album tracks and nice to see boygenius sneaking in a couple of songs too - 'Not Strong Enough' I think has eclipsed '$20' as my favourite of the singles now

And good to see 'Miracle' hitting #1 now! Aside, I noticed the other day that 'Boy's a liar Pt. 2' has now had more total days at #1 on UK Spotify than either 'Anti-Hero' or 'Flowers' despite never getting the overall #1, and that's even without factoring in that it had more days where it was #1 when combined with the solo version :o

Jisoo opened up slightly higher than Rosé or Lisa. :cheer:

I don’t think it will chart as highly as ‘On The Ground’ or ‘Money’ but looks pretty safe to chart officially and might peak higher than ‘Lalisa’.

Might be In the minority but personally feel Ellie voice is too soft for the production on miracle

much prefer their other 2 collabs, still wouldn't mind it getting to number 1 for Ellie

Eyes Closed down to #10 on Spotify with 205K. For comparison, Bad Habits was #1 with 739K on its ninth day, and Shivers #2 with 446K (Shape of You was #1 with 1.15M!). I'm a bit surprised by this underperformance (yes it hit #1 blah blah) tbh, it's still Ed and it's still a lead single of his. I guess it is down to overexposure – he hasn't given us a break for two years. and the song is pretty meh

New peaks for Viva la Vida and Everybody Wants to Rule the World.

Fresh music.

No complaints tho, both excellent songs, will be happy for both to make the YE this year

they’re both great songs but this is why the occ needs to have a catalogue chart already (for the weekly and year end)

as time goes on there’s only going to be more of these old songs sticking around and the year end chart will become even less meaningful as a representation of the years music.

Agreed, think a catalogue chart could be quite interest to watch, even if Mr Brightside is number one almost every week. :D

Speaking of which, eww at that being top 20 again. As much as I enjoy the song, I don’t get why it does so well consistently compared to other tracks with a similar cult status.

Ouch at Ed’s Spotify figures. Wasn’t expecting it to be almost out the top 10 after one week.

'Calm Down' hitting a new peak after all this time!! Amazing scenes.

It's a re-peak but still very impressive, its stability!
