Ed’s not doing too well with his latest single. Hopefully it manages to climb high on 12th May due to album effect

Hopefully it doesn’t

Boat is doing nothing, even for a Grat or whatever it is... I mean, Visiting Hours was the same and that went top 5 I think

and lots of other artists release Grats with much much less support, no video and they do chart

I am hoping the album has some more exciting material on it than Boat, which makes up his top 3 (Boat to be starred out). If Boat is the next best option after Eyes Closed, this album will be a snooze fest.

Don’t get the love for Daylight. The muffled sound in the chorus is quite off putting. Even still, glad to see some more movement at the top end of the chart.

Really hope Kim recovers on Spotify after that nose dive. Apple at least is pretty stable.

Any sign of Angels Like You? Noticed it’s going viral on TikTok and top 100 on global Spotify now!

seems to be more viral in non-English speaking countries, most notably it's #4 in Indonesia (which gives 539k streams - it's a very big country)

not charting in UK or USA

The way Taylor is stomping atm, with so many songs from so many different albums :cheeseblock:

Spotify:

9. Anti-Hero

65. Cruel Summer

73. Style

77. Don't Blame Me

78. Blank Space

87. cardigan

91. Karma

107. Lavender Haze

127. Shake It Off

151. All of the Girls You Loved Before

180. Enchanted

Apple Music:

11. Anti-Hero

77. Lavender Haze

88. Style

97. Shake It Off

101. Blank Space

106. Love Story

124. Lover

140. Wildest Dreams

164. Cruel Summer

173. cardigan

190. You Belong With Me

197. Karma

Also on Apple Music top 200 Pop: Bejeweled, You Need to Calm Down, Don't Blame Me, You're On Your Own Kid, Bad Blood, All of the Girls You Loved Before, The Man, All Too Well 10 Minutes, Midnight Rain, Maroon, Getaway Car. Enchanted is also #3 on Country songs, and the top two are top 200 on all-genre so its probs not that far off.

I'd guess Love Story, and definitely Wildest Dreams, would be top 200 on Spotify if combined but the Taylor Versions seem to get a similar amount of streams on Spotify, whilst the original versions get more than Taylor's Versions on Apple Music

HH placed Kushner now as track #1

and added The Weeknd/Future and Nines

I guess I’m out of the loop why are so many Taylor songs charting?

Wow 'See You Again' all the way up to the top 20 on Spotify now, might go top 100 even without a reset at this rate. Up to #8 on US Spotify as well!

Specifically it's only charting in southeast Asia (the only other countries it's charting in are Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore). Not unusual for TikTok hits to only gain traction there, even by western artists, for whatever reason. I hope it can eventually cross over to the rest of the world but not holding my breath!

Aside from just the fact there are always a ton of old songs charting at any given time, her current tour is presumably helping.

The tout effect has been pretty crazy tbf have we had any other instances, be interesting what happens when she touring the UK

Coldplay had a pretty similar effect when they were touring for one. I think Arctic Monkeys and The Weeknd too?

edit: and Harry Styles

Dave last year as well, Location and Clash both making the year end and boosts for Funky Friday, Thiago Silva, Screwface Capital and others
I think Taylor's tour effect is going to be record-breaking when she eventually tours in the UK (although I still don't understand why there's been such a huge delay in announcing the international dates, it's very strange!)
Crazy effect from just touring the US

The same for 1D's Night Changes, went viral there since Feb. last year and still 1m+ daily global with support from India and Indonesia

Crazy effect from just touring the US

I have seen so mane performance videos being shared, with the various show effects. I imagine that has helped give a more viral effect outside the tour area than normal. Otherwise, yeah, the hype for Taylor right now is mad.

I don’t think it’s an unreasonable question to ask, most old songs chart for a reason and there aren’t usually so many by the same artist (many of which weren’t even singles in the first place!) and I haven’t known a US tour to have such an impact on the UK charts pretty much ever
