Would like to add the asterisk that Riptide at #31 is only a post-2016 peak.

 

It’s actual peak is somewhere within the top 10 in 2014.

 

Kworb’s daily data doesn’t go back far enough but it’s got a weekly peak of #7 and 4 weeks top 10

'Riptide' always strikes me as such a random song to be doing so well all these years later. I mean, unlike say 'Mr Brightside' it doesn't seem to be at all ubiquitous and it never felt that big at the time or since, and he's a one hit wonder.

 

Why that of all the random top 10 hits from last decade?

It spent 87 weeks (near consecutively) in the top 100 in 2013-2015, that seems plenty 'ubiquitous' to me! It's pretty comparable to something like 'Do I Wanna Know?'

I would back if for a Christmas number one if Ladbaby decides to release something again!

Riptide was huge but I think it depends what kinda music you like. It's a classic but more for people that like indie music and guitar songs rather than pop. But for people that play guitar or wanna learn guitar, that's a classic, it's usually song #1 that teachers use for students that wanna learn how to play guitar cos it's very easy to play.
