Jesus.

This is a shame as the song is great!

This, it doesn’t deserve a 11-45 drop (I fear it’ll get pushed down even more with the Glastonbury effect too).

Let’s hope they don’t dwell on this song for too long and try to make it a hit with remixes etc and just get on with delivering the next banger.

I didn’t say a top ten single was enough to get an album out. All I said was it was easier to get a top ten single in the 90’s.

Mel B (twice), Emma and Mel C all missed the top 10 with songs from their debut album/era.

It wasn't easy or easier than now. You had to actually get people to go out and invest their hard earned money in you. You couldn't just be put on lots of playlists.

I still don’t understand the US promo, it doesn’t make any sense

Such a waste of time. Imagine going to the US to do random interviews when your song is out of the top 40 already in your home country.
Yeah, I don't get the US promo at all. It's better to establish yourself in your home market and then push yourself based on being "big in Europe".

Kylie Minogue does lots of US promo, so it makes perfect sense.

I think the difference is, she's at least a vaguely known name there and we can tell this is all building up to a Vegas residency announcement.

Plus her song's already a hit in her main markets so it allows her to focus on other areas.

Kylie also has a 35 year career behind her - she's pretty much as established as a pop artist can get.

Leigh-Anne is a former girl group member trying to strike it out solo. At best people know her as "the black one" from Little Mix, crude as that sounds.

Not that it counts for much but this is up to #16 on itunes now after being featured on Love Island last night

Still out of the top 200 on Spotify but it’s been moved up to #25 on Hot Hits

Any chance of this making the top 40 this week??

So weird how it’s Top 15 on Shazam yet bombing on Spotify?

Shazam is not a great indicator though? Fanbases actively ‘Shazam’ songs to boost them up the chart.

I only got around to hearing this for the first time today (oops, what took me so long!) and I'm enjoying it a lot, it's a very solid debut. Really like the garage influence. I really hope it'll bounce back (pun intended) in the charts in the coming weeks.

I totally understand why but they played all their cards in week 1 so aside from a remix taking off and streaming coming onboard there is not a lot of hope for it to recover significantly.

Without the physicals in week 1 she would’ve entered at around #35 - maybe they should have gone with that then dropped the CDs in week 2 so it had a 35-17 climb or something (which would have given them extra time to try and get streaming support)?
