STILL not top 200 on Spotify again yet?? This is such a big bomb damn. Deserves better

Yeah I'm sorry, Leigh and the song deserve WAY better than this. How can it only spend like 4 days in the Spotify top 200?

To be honest I haven't played the song in a while. It's definitely a bop and something Little Mix would have recorded but I think a male feature (AJ Tracey, Craig David?) on a verse and bigger ad-libs on the last chorus would have strengthened it.

The sad thing is this is such a bop so I don't get why its not connecting. I hope this doesn't delay future singles. We really need a bunch of songs for her to feel established as an artist.
My estimate for tomorrow's chart is #51 with 9.2k+

:drama:

I don’t see how it can recover from an 11-51 fall, obviously it’s only week 2 and could connect and become a summer smash but the fact it’s not yet re-appeared in the Spotify Top 200 despite HHUK support doesn’t bode well for it.

How can it be so high if it's not even Top 200 on Spotify?

You have to factor in:

- Lots of songs in the Spotify chart being on ACR

- Only 3 songs per artist being allowed to chart, whereas Spotify has no limits

- Leigh-Anne is Top 40 on Apple Music, so her streaming situation isn't too dire across the board

It's re-entered at #190 on Spotify today

The way this is so much better than the official video, I know it is behind the scenes but it shows how they could have captured the different settings so much better to elevate the video.

#52

It dropped 41 places :deadbanana:

Leigh-Anne is teasing an R&B version.

Not surprised since they threw everything at it in the first week, with no plans for the second.

At least it re-entered Spotify at #190, even if it'll fall out due to the weekend effect it'll hopefully start making progress early next week.

#52 :drama:

I mean I hope it can recover but I can’t see it at the moment even with a remix.

Week 1 - Just streaming and downloading would have got it in the charts

Week 2 - Distribute half the physicals to ensure a bit of a climb.

Week 3 - Distribute the remaining physicals for stability

Is a lower peak with a few weeks in the chart better than a #11 - #52 fall??

A top 40 first week followed by a climb into low top 20 would have been a much better narrative than 11-52. It would also signify it might be gaining popularity to the average person not dropping like a stone.

Hindsight always makes it look easy and predictable. There's no strategy that guarantees success or flopping. Hits have happened with different strategies. CDs for Bounce Back were released weeks after its debut - didn't stop it from underperforming and dropping off the charts quickly. They threw in everything at Sweet Melody's first week of release - remixes, music video on release day (something LM never did), YET its peak came 12 weeks later, organically.

Granted, DSL's first 2 weeks are disappointing. It doesn't necessarily mean they've done something wrong. I'm not sat here hoping it'll become a hit; but I'm not ruling it out.

Stream it if you like it, and let's see what the coming weeks will bring.
