I really love this, but it does lowkey sound like it's a DJ feat pop girl song. A bit faceless for a first single

My only issue with this song is that it's lyrically weak. But most people wouldn't care anyway!

First thoughts, i'm underwhelmed with the video, I expected more but it doesn't stop the song from being great.

 

Update: on second watch it got better, love the emotion. So proud of her!

Yeah the video was boring. It’s way too dark for 80% of it (is she really in total darkness for the second chorus?!) and I’m not sure what any of it has to do with the lyrics.

 

A video of her doing choreo or being outdoors in the summer daylight weather would have been way better.

 

And I suppose I should also say (before I get accused of ‘trolling’ for daring to give negative feedback) that the song is still amazing and she looks incredible. Just HATE videos that are so dark! Arghh

nah but I agree, the video seemed too dark and moody for this song - although I feel like since the second single continues the video (she apparently comes "out" of the water that starts the second single video) I'm guessing it's going to be lighter (the snippet of the second single sounds a bit funky/bass-led)

 

The actual video itself is mid, I can't lie - she served some looks but she definitely shot herself in the foot by over-explaining the video and making it out to be something it wasn't (a Gaga tea, who said she has no impact!) I wish she had just kept quiet and it would've been a nice surprise. Either way, I can't see the video doing a disservice to the performance I'm just happy she's getting somewhere and seemingly getting overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Exactly - it's an ok video for a girl group member going solo, but all the talk about it being high budget and... this is it? Definitively a bit of a shooting herself in the foot moment, but overall the general public won't have heard/remember her interviews, so it's not a big deal.

Omg received an email from Little Mix saying to stream and buy her new single. It is so sweet the girls/team is posting this to the whole fan base, shows how much support is there.

Well, it's comfortably the best Little Mix solo effort yet!

The flashing lights in the white room setup are not it. I just watched again on a bigger screen and had to look away.

 

Do directors really not know there’s people out there with light sensitivites and stuff like that can trigger fits and nausea?

 

(Maybe there was a warning at the start that I missed though, and this isn’t me coming for Leigh, it’s just an artistic choice that I hate is still being used in 2023)

The song while not a lyrical masterpiece is absolutely perfect for the weather we been having fingers crossed it can do well

Promo is on point, streaming support, 99p CDs and 59p download = incoming smash hit!

I like this on first listen!

 

It’s reminiscent of 00s R&B mixed with Garage but it’s a summer bop!

 

It works pretty well as a debut single I’d say though. I can easily see it being a hit.

The song it great. The video is not.

 

It does sound a little bit like it could be a DJ x DJ feat Pop Star, but those kind of songs do really well and this would sound great in the sunshine (rather than in a dark room with flashing lights).

Leigh-Anne says it is freeing being solo.

 

She wants to crack the US.

 

She says never say never to getting back with Little Mix and give it 5 years until they are on a reunion tour.

 

I'm not 100% feeling the song yet but it has grown on me ever so slightly.

The video doesn't go anywhere though.
