In my mind they have at least 4 that could be considered big hits, even though I know one of those is stratospherically bigger than the others.

I really hope taylor swift doesn't snatch the album number 1 at the last minute, would love to see EBTG hold on.

I'm more worried about the 1975, still don't understand how they are so low when the album is sold out everywhere??

 

EBTG are amazing, so many great tracks in their discography, Walking Wounded is a 10/10 album, every track is perfection

Love their folkish albums (Idlewild, The Language of Life) but also their dance-y ones (Walking Wounded, Temperamental)

Love seeing Everything But The Girl hopefully get their first #1 album, the album is great :heart:

They never had a #1 album or single before, it'd be great if they finally got a OCC #1 trophy 4 decades after their formation!

I used to love EBTG, but would still have only managed to name two of their singles - Missing and Walking Wounded.

 

It would be good to see them at No.1 - even it they have said they don't care about chart positions.

I’m guessing The 1975’s totals were worldwide rather than UK only?

 

Banquet seem to have struck some deal with their label and have the majority of CD and Cassettes which are still available and I’ve seen on sponsored ads on socials and a mailout to the 1975 fanbase

It’s on their debut album Eden from 1984 and it also appears on the 1984 compilation Hits 1

Very close on the singles chart. I think Daylight will get #1 in the end.

Maybe not all indies taking part are chart return shops? Some of the indies are tiny and probably don’t sell big volumes in general.
