Seeing the lackluster reception on streaming, I can see S & M shelving the video and quietly sweeping this single under the rug, as if it never happened. :cool:

Yeah this is very much as Sam feat Madonna track rather than a Madonna feat Sam one as it follows their template to the letter.

^^ Even with Sam’s recent track history I just thought that ‘Vulgar’ would get decent curiosity streams and that the Madonna fanbase would get behind both versions to download - neither seemed to happen!

I didn't expect much from streaming necessarily as Sam's been hit and miss there (and this track is a miss), but I did expect more from Madonna's fanbase since she's more involved with this. I'm surprised they didn't turn up for the download.

Both tracks are complete rubbish and don’t appeal to lifelong fans like myself.

Madonna fans are known for eating up whatever she releases though, she has the most expensive limited vinyls I’ve ever seen… you’d think that a fanbase with so much disposable income would at least chuck her a few downloads even if the song isn’t the best

To be fair, there hasn’t been much promotion for vulgar yet and no video neither so that doesn’t help. It’s almost like they’ve given up on the track already.

Madonna has shredded a lot of her fanbase in recent years. Her fanbase are all about physical items.

It recently passed 20m streams on Spotify and is still bringing in 50k+ streams a day.
