July 26, 20231 yr The announcement of her album completely passed me by! Really happy it’s happening, ‘Strong’ and ‘Enjoy Your Life’ are incredible. Need to check out the new couple of songs.
July 26, 20231 yr I really do like how each track is Romy's own take on dance music, nothing is samey at all (credit to Fred again.. for being so versatile in his producing too)! I think The Sea is probably my favourite of this year's releases but Strong is still the top tier release overall I think Strong and Loveher are a bit similar in sound but different stories being told. But agree, each track so far is special. I didn't expect that vibey chillwave style of The Sea. Here for it though!
August 29, 20231 yr Really enjoying that TDJ remix. This is now probably my favourite single since “Strong”, but really they've all been decent. I am still waiting though for that absolute slammer that matches SuReaL's 2000 smash “You Take My Breath Away”, she def has it in her, I'm certain!

September 8, 20231 yr The new tracks aren't as strong as the 4 singles but Did I sounded rather lovely on first listen. I love how Twice fades straight into it.
September 8, 20231 yr Weightless is really good, can see why that's early in the album. I too liked the segue from Twice to Did I - in particular the final part of Twice that builds up I think it's probably going to be a 7/10 kinda album for me. Perfectly good but not quite varied enough to earn anything higher. Lyrically it's not particularly stretching either, lots of tracks seem to have very obvious themes and lines
September 9, 20231 yr Author A pleasant enough album I guess. The singles are great of course and I really like Weightless too. The mixing between Twice/Did I and Mid Air/Enjoy Your Life is fab too. Lifetime definitely should've made the cut

September 11, 20231 yr Twice, Strong, The Sea and One Last Try are the highlights for me! Nice album. Very chilled and taps really nicely into the turn of the millennium dance sound which seems to be having a major (and welcome) renaissance at the moment.

September 16, 20231 yr The album has charted at #15 today with just over 4,500 sales 2 of those are me - I ended up with both the yellow and pink vinyls!
