June 23, 20233 yr Hate it when a horrible song finally goes to ACR and drops the hell out of the top 10... but they still play it :/
June 23, 20233 yr Shame Chemical is out thanks to ACR. It felt too soon for that but I hope it gets a reset when the album is released and I also hope that Mourning can avoid ACR before the album too
June 23, 20233 yr This is what I dislike the most about ACR. The high position, the massive drop and then the likely stabilising within the lower reaches of the Top 40. I know that's the whole point of ACR, but that it is rarely acknowledged by the chart presenter just makes it feel a little odd. Should be used to it by now though.
June 23, 20233 yr They said Taylor when saying artists with new entries this week, so I think so (the only other possibility could be Anti-Hero re-entering ig) There’s only really room for 1 more Taylor song in the top 40. The top 30 is the top 29 from Thursday’s update + 1 Taylor song. I’m surprised that Anti-Hero isn’t in as it was just outside the top 40 on Monday and ‘Karma’ has climbed since then. I’ll assume that the ‘new’ Taylor song is ‘Cruel Summer’ granted a last minute reset.

Cyrus could’ve been speaking about any number of moments from her profoundly varied career. Born Destiny Hope Cyrus—the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus—in Tennessee in 1992, the innovative artist has hardly stayed in one lane for more than a single album since she broke from the bubblegum pop that catapulted her to stardom as Disney’s Hannah Montana. Her 2009 summer anthem “Party In the U.S.A.” earned her a rapid ascent within the pop world, where 2013’s Bangerz—which showcased her musical maturity with “Wrecking Ball” and experimented with elements of Dirty South hip-hop—made her an icon. Vocal about her pansexuality and love for marijuana, Cyrus has worked hard to shed her wholesome teen image, and simultaneously defied odds by earning a reputation for an intense work ethic and an unshakable self-assuredness. She headed to left-field with the psych-tinged 2015 album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, a collaboration with members of The Flaming Lips, and with 2017’s Younger Now, a countrified pop offering that featured godmother Dolly Parton. And she's teamed up with rappers Mike Will Made It and will.i.am, Sarah Barthel of electronic rock group Phantogram, and, in 2018, Mark Ronson for the dramatic hit single “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.” Those frequent partnerships have been major catalysts in the creation of Cyrus' diverse catalog and in the cementing of her status as a pop pace-setter by refusing to let it, or herself, be easily defined. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2007 43 The Best Of Both Worlds (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2008 11 See You Again -1- 2008 25 7 Things -1- 2009 16 Fly On The Wall -2- 2009 11 The Climb -OST- 2009 18 Hoedown Throwdown -OST- 2009 78 Butterfly Fly Away -OST- 2009 90 Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill) (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2009 11 Party In The USA -1- MILLIONAIRE 2010 79 When I Look At You -2- 2010 13 Can't Be Tamed -1- 2010 93 Ordinary Girl (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2013 34 Fall Down (will.i.am feat. June 23, 20233 yr Author 28 | | 2nd week Taylor Swift Cruel Summer 5th single from Lover Released: 23rd August 2019 Label: Taylor Swift Productions Chart Statistics NE (05/09/2019) | 27-x RE (29/06/2023) | 28 Sales: 400k+ Certification: Gold Status: Standard Chart Ratio 72 Sales 38 Audio Streaming 00 Video Streaming Video ic8j13piAhQ Biography The country world feigned surprise when, after three albums of Music Row-indebted songcraft, Taylor Swift formally embraced pop on 2012’s Red. But no one should have been shocked: Any 14-year-old capable of persuading her parents to move from suburban Pennsylvania to Nashville for her career clearly has ambition to burn. And the thrill of following Swift’s rise has been watching her execute it flawlessly, largely because her melodic intelligence is equal to that ambition. Her early, youthful love songs heralded 2010's newly self-possessed Speak Now—which showed off her scathing wit—and evolved into knowing, ironclad pop fare that held its own against boisterous Max Martin production on 1989, her fifth album, titled after her birth year. Throughout, her songwriting has blurred the lines between the public and private, burying enough real-life clues (about, say, scarves and Starbucks) to make clear that only Swift can own her narrative, thank you very much, while still retaining a lyrical elegance. Though 2017’s reputation might have been perceived as a gorgeously constructed piece of dramatic theater—its attendant heroes and villains all real-life characters from Swift's public feuds—all that spectacle proved an attention-grabbing cover for her most romantic album yet. She turned up the romance even more on 2019’s Lover, but it was 2020’s folklore and its companion, evermore—ruminative, relatively lo-fi albums written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic—that earned her the Apple Music Award for Songwriter of the Year. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2009 02 Love Story -1- MILLIONAIRE 2009 60 White Horse -AT- 2009 51 Teardrops On My Guitar -2- 2009 100 Crazier -OST- 2009 30 You Belong With Me -3- 2010 57 Today Was A Fairytale -OST- 2010 30 Mine -1- 2012 67 Safe & Sound (feat.
