June 23, 20233 yr Author 14 | | 1st week Peggy Gou (It Goes Like) Nanana 1st single from forthcoming studio album Released: 15th June 2023 Label: XL Recordings Chart Statistics NE (29/06/2023) | 14 Sales: - Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 00 Sales 00 Audio Streaming 00 Video Streaming Video ssKWFlclNFg Biography Peggy Gou is a South Korean-born DJ and producer based in Berlin. During the 2010s, she became internationally renowned for energetic DJ sets, which dreamily flow through various styles of techno, house, and electro. A 2019 volume of the DJ-Kicks series demonstrated her eclectic approach. Her own tracks, such as the acclaimed 2018 single "It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)" and 2021's "I Go," are vibrant, joyous productions that echo vintage deep house and post-disco without sounding like throwbacks. Gou seemed to appear out of nowhere in 2016, releasing no less than four 12" EPs of bright, slightly hazy house tracks during the course of the year. In actuality, she had been producing and DJing for several years -- she learned to beatmatch in Korea in 2009 and resumed the hobby a couple years later, when she was attending the London College of Fashion. After racking up gigs during the next few years, as well as moving to Berlin, she made her breakthrough in 2016, releasing two Art of War EPs on Radio Slave's Rekids imprint, "Day Without Yesterday" on Phonica White, and Seek for Maktoop on Technicolour. She also played dozens of gigs across the globe, including dates with Moodymann, the Blessed Madonna, Jackmaster, and others. Following an even busier 2017, which included her first American tour and a month-long BBC Radio 1 residency, Gou returned to the studio. Her Once EP was released by Ninja Tune in 2018, led by "It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)," a catchy single featuring Gou's Korean-language vocals. "Travelling Without Arriving" was issued by Phonica White soon afterward. In 2019, Gou released the two-song Moment EP on her own Gudu Records, as well as her first mix CD, a volume of !K7's long-running DJ-Kicks series. She was featured on "Jigoo," the lead track from Maurice Fulton's Gudu-issued Earth EP, in 2020. The following year, Gou released the downtempo single "Nabi" (featuring OHHYUK) and the electro-disco tune "I Go." - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2023 14 (It Goes Like) Nanana -1- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 Social Media Peggy Gou http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

Born David Orobosa Omoregie in Brixton, London in 1998, Dave suddenly implanted himself in the UK rap scene in 2016, first with the electric grime alliance “Thiago Silva” with AJ Tracey and then when Drake jumped on the remix of the velvety “Wanna Know” from Dave’s first EP, Six Paths. Rebuffing label advances to pursue his career independently, he demonstrated a self-reliant streak on releases such as his 2017 EP Game Over, whose “Question Time,” a scathing attack on Theresa May’s Conservative government, garnered him an Ivor Novello songwriting award. Dave’s full-length debut, the Mercury Prize winner Psychodrama, followed in 2019; epitomizing his achingly honest rap style, it laid bare personal vulnerabilities while challenging institutional racism in a provocative fashion rarely heard in British rap. The centerpiece of the lavishly soundscaped album was “Black,” a heart-wrenching portrait of the prejudice affronting Black lives. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, where Psychodrama won Album of the Year, Dave started his performance of “Black” by accompanying himself on piano and ended it by excoriating British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a “real racist” and executing a perfect mic drop. - Apple Music Central Cee Central Cee is proving himself to be one of London’s most exciting emerging artists. Whilst only just turning 22, the rapper had already released a slew of solid tracks in addition to a powerful Next Up Freestyle on Mixtape Madness reflecting the rising star’s versatility and distinctive delivery. The heat surrounding Central Cee along with some killer short freestyle videos showcasing Central Cee’s lyrical abilities has led to him doubling his instagram following in a matter of months (currently 135K). He’s also gained support from various artists at home and abroad including a co-sign from US rapper Big Sean. Music has been an integral part of Central Cee’s upbringing, dating back to the tender age of 8. His eagerness to create his own musical legacy is deeply rooted within his earliest memories of absorbing the rich sounds of his dad's old school hip hop collection. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History Dave 2017 51 Wanna Know (feat. June 23, 20233 yr Author I like Don't Say Love but I can't say I love it, it's quite faceless I think :(
June 23, 20233 yr Not heard the Peggy song yet but such a moment to see her jumping right out of the underground to such an impressive debut *.* and 2 female DJs in the top 15 + I think she is the first Korean act to get a hit who is not at least adjacent to the K-Pop scene (a few of the BTS solo hits are not really K-Pop songs at all but the fanbase obviously came from BTS). Good to see another new peak for 'UK Rap', not surprised it's looking to be more of a lasting hit than 'Trojan Horse' - maybe its chance of a top 10 peak hasn't passed yet? Hannah Laing top 10 as well, we luh to see.
June 23, 20233 yr Ah poor Leigh-Anne just missing out. She now needs to try and overcome the 8k physical and 59p download boosts from this week and keep it steady!
June 23, 20233 yr Yay for Peggy Gou. I'm seriously loving that right now, think it's gonna be one of my ultimate non-Padam summer anthems
June 23, 20233 yr Loreen skipped and Leigh-Anne not top 10. :( Expecting this to plummet next Friday.
