at least now they've finally released Nelly and Nelly Furtado are 2 different people :D

but still she has 2 Timbaland albums in her albums section

she has Morning After Dark correctly in her single but just credited to Timbaland alone

the song with James Morrison is not on her discography

but there is actually a chart entry for James Morrison ft Nelly Furtado, although thats empty :D

Just visited the site and my God it's a mess! It's so not user friendly, I don't know why the felt the need to give it such a drastic makeover. Don't think I'll be visiting it too often.
I quite like the new look! It has its teething issues but hopefully they'll be resolved in time. Especially like the fact you can see all the chart histories for the different charts on the artist page - brings to light more than just the songs which appeared in the Top 100 and also gives some use to those empty artist pages that were dotted around the old site.
I like it! Some aspects will take a bit of getting used to but I like the colours and the extra information, especially the streaming and sales chart runs etc.

They've fixed the 're-entries appearing as new entries' thing already - although it still doesn't identify them as re-entries, it just omits the 'LW' part entirely.

(just realised though that Tina Turner's 'The Best' is now appearing in the singles chart as 'Simply The Best' lol - going to the page for the song it lists both the current chart run for the song and the run for the album of that name )

Now it's hard to tell a re-entry from a non-mover  Sure these are just teething issues.

Anyone got this error?

The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

Can't make any comments. Can't log in using my previos details.

Why do the albums chart show re-entries for 04/05/23 when they are not re-entries but just continue the chart run from the previous week?

Looks to be easier to navigate but the size iof the text needs sorting - much too large!

And looking at chart histories section for Shakin' Stevens they have his 2005 release The Collection as having spent 2 weeks in the chart peaking at number 22... in the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums Chart. I don't think so!

Plus 2 weeks in the Top 10 of the Official Jazz & Blues Albums Chart..

I've checked this one out and it seems as if the OCC have got Shakin' Strevens mixed up with... Whitney Houston and Brandy! On the R&B chart dated 23/04/05 'The Greatest Hits' by Whitney Houston should be at #22, not 'The Collection' by Shakin' Stevens. In fact the whole chart is wrong, it appears another albums chart has been incorrectly listed as the Hip Hop and R&B Albums chart https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/offic...rt/20050417/115

The same mistake happens the following week. #29 on the R&B Albums chart should be 'The Best Of' by Brandy. Again, the OCC have listed the wrong chart under R&B https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/offic...rt/20050424/115

I don't know what chart the OCC have published for those two weeks under Hip Hop and R&B Albums. It's not the main albums chart (as it contains compilation albums), it's not the Combined Albums chart (which contains both artist and compilation albums) as the albums are in the wrong order compared to the main chart and it's not vinyl albums. I did wonder if it was a CD albums chart but the main albums charts by this point were largely a CD albums chart and again there are some differences.

The old site had album chart runs though. Did you mean something more specific such as physicals or sales chart runs?

~

Overall I'm happy with the changes. The biggest bonus, as mentioned, is that there's chart runs for every chart there is. For instance it's great to be able to see any "Physical Singles chart run". Prior to now, you would've had to go through every week of charts and compile the chart run yourself.

There's even some quite old data available, for instance I discovered that you can now see Vinyl Album and Single chart runs from 1994 onwards (I noticed this via the Spice Girls page, of course x). Despite these chart runs being viewable, the actual weekly vinyl album / singles charts aren't published, unfortunately. So if you click a position from the 'Spice' vinyl album chart run from 1996, it doesn't show a full vinyl chart from that particular week, it just leads to a page saying that "you are not authorized to access this page." I hope they'll come eventually? - https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/vinyl...hart/19961110/9 - In fact the earlier vinyl album chart available is 5th April 2015: https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/vinyl...hart/20150405/9

Looking at it today you can see Physical Album and Singles Chart runs on artist pahes back to 1994, and it looks as though Vinyl Albums may also go that far back, but it appears that Vinyl Singles don't go further back than 2015. I think the two physical charts would just be identical to the official charts for the 90s and first half of the 00s. The Physical Singles Chart actual goes back to w/c 6th March 1994 with every weekly chart viewable, and the Physical Album Chart to w/c 30th January 1994 with every weekly chart viewable. The Viny Album chart only goes back to w/c 5th April 2015 with every weekly chart viewable, and Vinyl Singles to w/c 12th April 2015 but you get the 'not authorized' messages you mention for weeks in the 1994 to 2015 range.

Loving the new look! I especially like that you've got comprehensive runs for every artist in the chart now too.
The sales charts (both singles and albums) seem to be on artist pages now! (Also, how did 'Lover' by Taylor Swift chart on the Punjabi chart?!)
Where's the info about labels? This makeover is HORRIBLE

Press the (i) button and data appears.

I wish there was still a drop down option to view the chart runs, I always like to go through the main chart and see the chart runs in full and it's just a ballache to click on 100 songs and 100 albums each week and be directed to another page each time.

The (i) button gives you the chart runs though?

It also allows more than one song's chart run to display on the page at a time, whereas the only site only allowed that within the artist pages.

Instead of getting 6 weeks at number one with Get Back, the Beatles only get 2 weeks.

The 4 missing weeks are listed under PRESTON.

A great mix-up!!
