That's not bad sales, the only thing it takes away from the opening sales of her first week when it's released.

When Kylie and Graham mentioned on GN show about the reaction to a new song she performed the night before I'm assuming it was hold onto now as kykie didn't name the song.

Let’s just hope whatever the next single is that BMG have learned they can get a Top 40+ with the right release pattern, drop a 2 x CD and cassette bundle for week 1, lyric video, and standard video = Top 40.
Kylie, forever the Queen of being vague. At least she didn't say it's out "soon" this time :drama:

Exactly what I thought, ‘soongate’.

I wolud be extremely happy with Tension selling 150k in the long run and having 5 top 40 songs. That would be fantastic.

Then a re-lease like Disco Guest List but without all the remixes and 4 or 5 new songs and another couple of top 40 hits.

I am kind of all for top 40 singles this era and looking at strategies for longevity for chart weeks, radio play, phyisicals, streaming numbers etc

Some of those visualisers are good enough to be official videos. Kylie looking 'c*nt' as the youngsters say is all that videos need, i think Tension suffers like Kiss Of Life as a little camp and niche for general public.

It's definitely the strategy they need to stay with.

Yep and just try and get on as many playlists as possible

If it's the next single, release streaming Thursday like tension, radio edit out on itunes Friday, 3 physicals out on the same Friday and a remix out on the Tuesday to me could see a third top 40 from Tension.

BMG seem to be chasing chart positions this time which I am all for and especially if its with hold onto now as I think it's just brilliant and would be her best single since all the lovers.

When both these songs are played back to back its like euphoric Kylie heaven in my ears, nearly 7 minutes of complete bliss.

It really is some kind of bliss.

I would say stick all 3 physicals out the same week too if this indeed going owing to be single 3.

Sorry but this is not going to do anything on Streaming. Its already had its peak, its NMF, its Spotify playlists.

Yes with 3 physicals and a download edit it can get a high chart position, but it wouldnt be my choice to try and extend the life campaign of an album, unless there is a feature etc.

will gladly eat my words though if it takes off!!!

Maybe im wrong but i dont think it matters what the next single is as i cant see it been a big hit unless we get a surprise again, i think if they go with the 3 physical formats as mentioned the single will get a decent peak and id be happy if its hold onto now that gets selected for the next single.
I want it to at least get its moment and the video, seeing as it was originally going to be first and then second.

This to be honest, Kylie clearly loves it so it needs its chance to shine regardless of if it’s a ‘hit’ or not.

Kylie fans have responded hugely positive to the song and it got the most attention last week of all the songs apart from the singles and Kylie herself loves it.

With everything considered it would be the best choice as the next single.

Padam Padam is 0 for me

But hold on to me is 10/10. It’s been on repeat!
