I haven’t listened to the mixes of tension as they don’t interest me but I think it’s time they moved on to the next single. I really hope it’s ’hold onto now’. This should and would have been a much better 2nd single and far more representative of the other album tracks.

The album is a very mixed bag of sounds and styles, I'm not sure I'd say either are necessarily representative of the overall album.

If hold onto now is the third single il be very happy with the run of singles.

I think Tension done great as a 2nd single and hopefully hold onto now can do OK aswell.

Can't see Hold On To Now playlisted on Capital etc. Can't see it getting on playlists either. To me it would only do well on phyiscals and downloads and therefore it would be a single where everything needs to be thrown at it for 1 week of success

If hold onto now is the next single, when do you think they will release it, with the Christmas songs not too far away from taking over the chart i think they would need to have the 3rd single out very soon.

I think the announcement will come in time for the Audience With, it'd be good to get the video out and get it some airplay around Christmas time and then maybe physicals in the new year?

If they are after another top 40 they need to do exactly what they did with Tension except release the remixes earlier and I think to help the album release it either the 1st or 2nd week of November.

Every time it’s called Hold Onto Now instead of Hold On To Now, it gets pushed back 1 week, so the current expected release date is in April 2024 x

Hold On To Now is a great song and I think it’d make a great 3rd single but whatever is released from the current album will do absolutely nothing on the charts. It’s been available for weeks now and has already been on NMF playlist. The only chance of another Tension hit single is if there’s a re release with new songs.

If its released exactly the same way as Tension was i think it could get a decent enough peak.

^^ Yes, I have zero expectations for post album singles success but as the Tension single showed if they plan it right they can offset streaming.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised to see HOTN etc., do a 38-72 type of run with physicals, video, single download etc., all released in the same week.

 

As we’ve seen for years now Kylie can shift 5k of physicals with single releases.

I don't mind that but think there are songs on the album that would stand a better chance of being playlisted again on other radio stations more than Hold On To Now.

 

I'm not sure we are quite finished with Tension yet.
