I was listening to this loudly in the car driving home from work last night (best way to listen to music) and honestly I just don’t think it’s that good of a song. It’s ok but I’m not overly surprised that it hasn’t done amazingly well for her which is a shame because I really want her to succeed :(

 

You are right it just isn't a good song. She doesn't need to manage expectations or pretend she is a new artist (she is getting airplay and playlisting no brand new artist would get) she just needs better songs to take advantage of that airplay/playlisting.

 

Which is why she is probably back in the studio either using her own money to find better songs or under instruction of the record label to record something better.

Yeah it is true she is getting much more support than a typical 'new artist' would get as she's not actually new. However, at this point she can't help that.

 

I do think she needs to chill thinking she'll be the next big thing - not helped by her team hyping up as the second coming of Jesus.

Part of this may be because I hate 'Paint The Town Red' but 'My Love' was also kinda blah. She sounded better in the PTTR though.

 

I enjoy the songs she has released (DSL/ML) but the performances just aren't clicking with me.

‘Don’t Say Love’ (the song only) aside, everything she does is disappointing me.

I think both songs are great, but I think it's clear she was never destined for big solo stardom.

 

I'm starting to doubt any of the others are either now.

I don't know if i'm expecting too much from her but again disappointed, the little dance break at the end was decent though.

 

I wish she had a head mic and was just dancing her ass off the whole time instead.

 

 

These performances are falling really flat for me, idk if it is me but something feels missing. Also I feel she was performing a lot better in Little Mix than she is solo? The video was incredible but the performances aren't having the same wow.

Her team probably has a deal with Glamour... how odd that this most probably a pointed/bought award, not necessarily a deserved one

That is ridiculous. She didn't make a breakthrough in Germany.

I feel bad for the new German artists that actually charted there. It’s so weird seeing her get these obvious fake awards, like this one is ridiculous considering her music hasn’t charted there.
