August 29, 20231 yr Who could ever forget this one-hit wonder? 6JCLY0Rlx6Q'One Foot' should have been just as massive! What a banger. They are really underrated in the grand scheme of things </3 I'm going to do a little bit of cheating because this person had a 2nd top 10 hit but it was only a feature (and probably would have been a hit if it was with someone else instead etc..) and tbh I'm pretty sure most people only remember her for this one hit anyway... R6A1HpWgXdw Although this has given me an idea for a similar kind of thread...
August 29, 20231 yr Oh well I guess that has killed off my thread in here then. I didn’t consider that it would even be the first time it has been done, but I wasn’t very thorough in my research when I started, plus to be clear this thread was not “list as many one hit wonders as you can think of” which some I think were doing, but rather I was inviting ones to “nominate a one hit wonder you enjoyed” from the last 23 years. Why has it killed it off Wardy? There's been songs mentioned by myself and a couple of others that extends further than the radio 1 thread from 2015 :P I'm impressed at the success of this thread!
August 29, 20231 yr I hardly doubt these guys will ever have another hit but stranger things have happened! pBkHHoOIIn8?si=ZfvFGe7pa4VmNh2Q
August 29, 20231 yr A beautiful song (#27, 2007), later covered by Birdy XYGOLzMgI88 although the singer Simon Aldred did eventually appear on a bigger hit, Avicii - Waiting For Love
August 29, 20231 yr I'd also nominate Rob Dougan for “Clubbed To Death”.. the promo video is great! Originally released in 1995 but finally re-released and charting at #24 in June 2002 in support of his debut album release, with no other Top 40 hits. t7t18ErmxK8
August 30, 20231 yr Author Here is one I really liked at the time, even making it my ringtone! :P Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks {#18, 2011} SDTZ7iX4vTQ
August 30, 20231 yr the way I have a few examples but they only charted in Billboard and went nowhere in the UK
August 30, 20231 yr Author the way I have a few examples but they only charted in Billboard and went nowhere in the UK  Post them in here instead; http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=265652
August 31, 20231 yr Madcon - Beggin' (#5, 2008) zrFI2gJSuwA This was still the best version of the song. Maneskin's version was so forgettable and the reason why it blew up was the 'ratatata' part. Madcon almost made another top 40 with these songs: ntgW_zhJXWA y74UPiaK7u0 Don't Worry got a lot of certifications and more streams on Spotify than Beggin', yet it only spent a week at top 100. Edited August 31, 20231 yr by Cow P
August 31, 20231 yr 'Beggin' is Maneskins worst single for me that I've heard oops. Wasn't keen on the Mad'con version either though.
August 31, 20231 yr Who remembers this? Nice bit of EDM from a producer who seemed to vanish after one hit. 03O2yKUgrKw Mike Mago was a one-hit wonder but you can say that Dragonette weren’t as they did feature on "Hello" by Martin Solveig
September 1, 20231 yr He was the lead singer of The Guillemots and had only one hit as a solo artist and being a Billy Joel cover at that so from that angle I'd put him as a one hit solo artist wonder :P yATtdheYPzg?si=Jp86BWlm3-9MAt_N
