September 3, 20232 yr I hope this never makes the top 10. What an awful song. Actually hope it grows as its grown on me #mileyfortop10
September 3, 20232 yr Seems perfectly plausible that 'Baddadan' could stay at a #9 peak and 'Disconnect' could end up peaking at #5 to maintain C&S' run of only having #5 and #9 peaks in the top 10, part of me wants that to happen just for stats geekiness. (hope 'Baddadan' can keep climbing though (maybe to #5 as well? x), finally heard it now and it's a certified megabanger)
September 3, 20232 yr 4 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire (which sounds surprisingly like Becky Hill - Disconnect xxx)
September 3, 20232 yr Desire has now fully clicked for me, then the funky drop, so I’m glad it’s on the rise
September 3, 20232 yr  Are they just gonna play the full song again without correcting themselves?
September 3, 20232 yr Maybe desire was actually #6 and disconnect is #4? They read it out correctly so I'd expect Disconnect was indeed #6! Sack the presenters and no one has even noticed. Disgraceful They're supply hosts and it's probably more jarring to cut the song off midway through.
September 3, 20232 yr As well as playing Disconnect twice , they played the Reading and Leeds promo twice as well
September 3, 20232 yr I wish Taylor's team would release cd singles of Cruel Summer, she could easily get the #1 spot with it I think!
September 3, 20232 yr They read it out correctly so I'd expect Disconnect was indeed #6! Fair enough. Strange though as Becky is higher on both Spotify and apple so I wonder why cal/Sam are higher here!
September 3, 20232 yr I wish Taylor's team would release cd singles of Cruel Summer, she could easily get the #1 spot with it I think! Yes I agree! I’m still so baffled why they’ve done literally nothing to push it! It’s been so close to #1 in the us for weeks as well and they’ve done nothing to push it to #1 thete either!
September 3, 20232 yr Fair enough. Strange though as Becky is higher on both Spotify and apple so I wonder why cal/Sam are higher here! Possibly Amazon (I don't know who's higher there) as well as premium/ad-funded ratios could explain it!
September 3, 20232 yr 2 Olivia Rodrigo - vampire 1 Doja Cat - Paint the Town Red Doja Cat is predicted to leapfrog Olivia Rodrigo to claim the UK’s Number 1 single with Paint The Town Red. It would become her first chart-topper. Paint The Town Red reached a brand new peak of Number 2 last week. The track is the second single taken from Doja's forthcoming new LP Scarlet, which sees her pivot away from a pop aesthetic to hard-edged rap. The American multi-hyphenate has claimed a total of four Top 10 singles, also including Say So (2), Kiss Me More with SZA (3) and You Right with The Weeknd (9). Calvin Harris & Sam Smith’s Desire could climb into the Top 5 for the first time (4), while Fred again..’s adore u is looking to become the 2023 Mercury Prize-shortlisted DJ and producer’s first Top 10 single as a solo artist. Kylie Minogue's Tension is predicted to debut at Number 14 on Friday; potentially the week’s highest new entry. It would become the pop princess’s 53rd Top 40 entry to date. Tension, of course, follows on from the truly amazing success of Kylie's Padam Padam earlier this year, and it's chart debut this week could see Kyl-eh-eh-eh net two Top 20 hits in 2023, proof she is more relevant than ever. Read more about Padam Padam's chart impact here. Finally, Nicki Minaj’s Last Time I Saw You could debut at Number 20, possibly securing Nicki a 44th UK Top 40 single.
