October 6, 20233 yr Author Ecstacy skipped 😞 Something of a miracle that it was even read out with that artist name and song title combo...!
October 6, 20233 yr "In at #33, down a massive 18 places" I see he mentioned the artist and title for SUICIDAL-IDOL but didn't actually play it... shame as it's really quite different for a top 40 hit! (albeit too short)
October 6, 20233 yr No shock as 'ecstacy' being skipped, I doubt they'll ever play it - but what a moment to have a witch house (ish) / hyperpop (ish) song in the top 40 :cheeseblock: hopefully we'll get a phonk breakthrough in the top 40 soon too. Genuinely thought they might just skim over it completely and not even be able to say the artist or song name lol x
October 6, 20233 yr Shame they skipped ecstasy, it’s quite a decent song. Typical jack. Skip the newbie for an old af song that’s on ACR

The release was later followed by the 2013 mixtape Gone Till November which earnt him the People’s Choice Award at the 2013 BBC 1Xtra Mixtape Awards. In 2017, Nines released his debut album One Foot Out which thrust him into the limelight as a raw, honest and richly inventive artist like no other, this was followed by his 2018 sophomore offering Crop Circle -which debuted at number 4 in the UK album chart and went on to be the biggest selling UK rap album of 2018- the album featured lead single I See You Shining, the track is currently sat at over 20M YouTube views and has recorded over 300,000 sales. The London band's 2009 debut album, Lungs, came stacked with rousing anthems like “Kiss with a Fist” and “Dog Days Are Over,” all propelled by pounding rhythms and orchestral strings and fuelled by a desire—or rather a need—for catharsis. “With songwriting, I really like to embody the things I was afraid of as a child. I like to kind of embody that voice,” singer-songwriter Florence Welch explained to Apple Music. “It’s like an exorcism almost.” That passion for delving into the darker outskirts of the mind infuses everything the band does, including bringing their cinematic sound to the screen with the 2016 release of short film The Odyssey, whose Dante-inspired scenes are strung together with heartache-drenched songs from 2015’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. That braveness also dictates not only Welch’s lyrics—which hit on topics as taboo as suicide and self-destruction (“The End of Love”) and as profound as simply letting go (the Grammy-nominated “Shake It Out”)—but also the way she delivers them, with the bewitching wail of a siren unleashed. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2008 51 Kiss With A Fist -1- 2008 21 Dog Days Are Over -2/8- MILLIONAIRE 2009 12 Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) -3- 2009 05 You've Got The Love -5- MILLIONAIRE 2009 54 Drumming Song -4- 2010 02 You've Got The Dirtee Love (feat. October 6, 20233 yr Author 27 | | 1st week Ed Sheeran American Town Album track from Autumn Variations Released: 29th September 2023 Label: Gingerbread Man Records Chart Statistics NE (12/10/2023) | 27 Sales: - Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 00 Sales 00 Audio Streaming 00 Video Streaming Video OJ_0hACuwfg Biography There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. October 6, 20233 yr Yikes is this the highest from Eds album? I thought he was at least on course for a Top 20 hit from it, I hadn't been paying attention though. These lyrics are low key awful lmao, so cliche/cheesy.
October 6, 20233 yr oh my was in London for like 12 hours on Thursay London is literally covered in posters for the Ed album good there's no promo :D great lyrics if he were 12 years old, but bad lyrics if you're a grown up writing them
October 6, 20233 yr Author This just... doesn't really do it for me. I like Ed but this is him on autopilot.
