Rich Babby Daddy now outpeaking Dog Days Are Over argh

(not listening but I'm guessing R1 are cutting that bit out the edit anyway lol)

Last week they cut out the entire Sexyy Red verse as well as the outro. (They only play like 1/3 of 'IDGAF' as well lol, I understand them cutting out the intro but poor Yeat's entire verse being skipped too)

Only just tuning in now for the last 45 mins though so I missed if they played any more of it this week but I presume they won't have. Cool to see that climbing anyway, seems like it may be a bigger hit than 'IDGAF' in the long run in the UK.

Biography

Pop star Troye Sivan voices the concerns of the internet generation. The Australian actor, singer/songwriter and YouTuber, born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1995, already displayed a natural command of the stage at just 11 years old, when he delivered his first of a series of much-lauded performances at the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Channel Seven Perth Telethons. His ability to capture an audience won him views on social media, a platform he used to both propel his singing career and as a confessional; he came out publicly as gay via a YouTube video when he was 18 years old. His 2015 debut LP, Blue Neighbourhood, effortlessly landed him in the spotlight, with songs like “YOUTH” and “WILD” serving as the perfect introduction to his brand of sleek, honey-coated synth-pop. His follow-up, Bloom (2018), proved that he could also play well with others, namely pop titan Ariana Grande for their mesmerising duet, “Dance to This''. This knack for collaboration would have him working with a constellation of the era’s most talented stars like Charli XCX on 2018’s iconic throwback anthem “1999” and Lauv on 2019’s “i’m so tired…”, a groovy and relatable anti-pop song where both artists boldly claim to be “tired of love songs”. An icon of queer representation, Sivan has been open about his sexuality and has graciously used his platform to support other LGBTQ artists and causes. - Apple Music

Aw gutted Troye couldn't quite make top 10 with this, though that does mean Laroi is top 10 :cheer: :cheer: (and I suspect Troye has a better chance of making it in a later week than Laroi)
Excellent climb, shame it couldn't make the top 10 this week... especially when the likes of Cruel Summer are still there

great climb but kinda frustrating :/

and so many crap in that top 10 like the new Kid Laroi :/

Biography

The Kid LAROI

In an Apple Music interview from mid-2020, The Kid LAROI reminisced about the short but formative time he spent in LA living with the late emo rapper Juice WRLD. They’d hang out all day, bonding, making music, seeing friends, whatever. People always coming and going, never a dull moment. Sometimes, Juice would wake LAROI up in the middle of the night, wild with excitement about a track LAROI had to put a verse on. Other mornings, LAROI would wake up to his and Juice’s managers saying it was time to pack up and head to Texas. Like, now. He was 15, 16 years old. “I’d never experienced anything like that,” he said. “Especially coming from Australia, where everything is kind of like its own bubble.” Not that 15-year-olds outside Australia would be used to it either. But such is the meteoric ascent of a talented young rapper circa 2020. Born Charlton Howard in 2003, LAROI—whose name is a reference to the Kamilaroi Indigenous nation, in which he has family roots—grew up in the suburbs of Sydney, and began to work on music when he was a pre-teen. Like Juice WRLD, Post Malone or even Lil Peep, LAROI’s key tracks—“ALWAYS DO”, “TRAGIC” and the Juice WRLD collaboration “GO”—blend ultra-melodic trap with shades of alternative rock and classic pop, a fusion that has put him on the front burner of pop-rap. His first album, F*CK LOVE, hit the Top 10 before he turned 18. - Apple Music

Jung Kook

South Korean singer, songwriter, and producer Jung Kook is best known as a member and main vocalist of K-pop boy band BTS. Debuting with the group in 2013, he went on to earn global success alongside his bandmates, selling out stadiums around the world and topping the charts in multiple markets. In addition to his activities with BTS, he has not only appeared on various television reality shows, but also recorded and produced his own solo material, like 2020's "Still with You"; 2022's collaboration with Charlie Puth "Left and Right"; the Qatar World Cup anthem "Dreamers," and his official debut single, 2023's "Seven." - Apple Music

Central Cee

Central Cee is proving himself to be one of London’s most exciting emerging artists. Whilst only just turning 22, the rapper had already released a slew of solid tracks in addition to a powerful Next Up Freestyle on Mixtape Madness reflecting the rising star’s versatility and distinctive delivery. Building on this foundation, in 2020, Central Cee has gone from strength to strength dropping two singles ‘Day In A Life’ and ‘Molly’, with both tracks having racked up 8 million audio streams collectively. The heat surrounding Central Cee along with some killer short freestyle videos showcasing Central Cee’s lyrical abilities has led to him doubling his instagram following in a matter of months (currently 135K). He’s also gained support from various artists at home and abroad including a co-sign from US rapper Big Sean. Music has been an integral part of Central Cee’s upbringing, dating back to the tender age of 8. His eagerness to create his own musical legacy is deeply rooted within his earliest memories of absorbing the rich sounds of his dad's old school hip hop collection. - Spotify

Haters keep hating

So happy Laroi's got another top 10 to his name :cheer: a good position to be in with his album out in 2 weeks *.*

It's LAROI's third top 10 ONLY. :o
I'm a bit worried Troye might not get top 10 now with Taylor next week and Christmas songs around the corner.

First Number 1 of 2024 then :D
