November 2, 20231 yr I was just looking up who sung the original of 'Take Me Away' and am agog to find out the Freaky Friday version actually wasn't even the original, it was originally just a minor hit by a random Australian punk band called Lash. It really does sound like a typical Disney Channel original song so that was an inspired pick to use for the film I guess! (also the original version is not great, the FF version is a significant improvement, and the Meet Me @ The Altar version is even better, I feel like each version has significantly increased the amount of crack put in the chorus)
