Bloody hell how much did you put on Wham?

I put the bet on while ago when they drifted out due to the Pogues being such an overwhelming fave

I wouldn’t put anything on them now; would be pointless

Wham! are now the favourites at 8/11 on bet365.

(I can cash out and make £32.50 profit right now... always tempting but I will stay committed xx)

The Pogues so far aren't making a major move on downloads so I think unless their vinyl sells really well we're still very much on track for Wham! to be #1 by default (and given a leg up by their own physicals). But can never rule out a download campaign picking up steam over the week.

Pogues streaming isn’t doing anything unusual from the Spotify I’ve seen so I don’t think they’re on course for top 3 honestly I suspect that Noah song might make the top 3
The Pogues will only get the Christmas #1 if sales are based on hopes, dreams, and wishful thinking.

TBH it’s the logical next step after counting streaming

I also reckon that plenty of people don't know how to download music for it to count as one sale. I've seen some people say "I've downloaded this for you on Spotify."

I think there needs to be a new bet:

Will Ladbaby chart higher than Creator Universe?

What price did you get?

My Christmas #01 bets for 2023;

Wham

£11 @ 3/1

£10 @ 9/2

£5 @ 10/1

£20 @ 4/1

£5 @ EVS

Jack Harlow

£10 @ 8/1

I usually do £50 so not that much over :selena:

£5 on Wham at 20/1 from back before Ladbaby dropped out

feels astonishingly good value at this moment in time with some places below even odds but my luck with bets is never this good. Though I really can't see how a download campaign is going to pick up steam at this point.

(half the forum about to get a donation from the bookies if Wham wins by the sound of things)

Wham discounted last Christmas to 59p on iTunes they’re definitely going for that #1

I’ll make a profit if Wham! get it so that’s fine by me.

Astonished that no download campaign has started up for Fairytale of New York! It’s well within reach too, probably only needs 20k downloads, even LadBaby’s terrible track last year managed 70k downloads didn’t it? Why have the media not whipped people up into a frenzy yet like usual?!

I'm thinking it will happen when the OCC start releasing data about how the race is going. Would expect something to happen on Tuesday when it becomes clear the Pogues are behind to the media/public and not just to people who actually follow the charts

yeah i dont think creator universe are much of a threat for #1 tbh. they havent even got 1000 sporify streams. and most of the influencers involved are tiktok based, so a majority young audience, who definitely have a focus on streaming, and wont go to the bother of downloading imo
Fairytale occupy #1 on the Amazon chart Wham occupy places 4, 27, 28, 32, 41, 42 with various versions. Sam Ryder is #2 not much else there worth noting

My bets!

Noah Kahan

£20 @ 50/1

Wham!

£10 @ 7/1

Don't tell Kylie's team that or they will be putting them out as new formats
