Brenda was ahead of Mariah on Christmas Day last year but I think that was the only time she ever has been in the UK (she fell back behind on Boxing Day).

 

In the US Brenda has been ahead of Mariah most of the time for the past few years and Bobby Helms has been ahead of Mariah occasionally as well, including right now.

 

Aside: it looks like Wham! will soon be overtaking the total number of days Mariah has spent at #1 on UK Spotify according to Kworb - today is the 66th day for Wham! while Mariah has 76 days.

Brenda Lee also has the “Re-recorded Version” which actually appeared on the weekly chart last week so it might’ve been ahead of Mariah on other occasions but we weren’t able to tell

That's also a really strong update for the Pogues. Most Christmas songs are down massively compared to last week, but they're actually up about 20k. Genuinely think they'd be close to Mariah and Wham! with better playlisting

Well, I meant in comparison to last week. Streams were significantly up year-on-year for the first week of December and now they've fallen back a little. Last week there was snow, this week torrential rain. Seems like a reasonable theory to me!

I think it’s cos Xmas music started soooo early this year and the main events like light switch ons and markets have been and gone so there’s a bit of a lull before the peak next week
Run for the hills is doing pretty good considering it's not on any major playlists yet.
Everybody seems to be sticking around a lot better than the rest of the Pink Friday 2 tracks, hope that can have some staying power to be a chart presence in 2024.

^forgot to post on Monday, but Everybody (Nicki Minaj ft Lil Uzi Vert) was added to HH on Monday, hence the increase

they also added the Jack Harlow/Dave track and also the new Fred Again

but more wtf is Zara Larsson being track #1 on HH :D :D :D ka-ching :D
