Assuming 'Badadan's fall to 74 is ACR related as other tracks aren't falling as fast?

Edited by Smint

I was on bed time duty tonight and asked Alexa to play Xmas songs and it went as follows:

Sam Ryder

Mariah Carey

Andy Williams

John Lennon

Kelly Clarkson & Ariana Grande

So a fair good mix then!

Goodnight Steve!

As much as I like Kelly, I don't think I want to hear her belt right before bed.

Bedtime is a long arduous process lol bath, nappies, jammies on and then milk 😂

Remix albums are usually charted seperately aren’t they? Didn’t Gaga’s remix albums all chart separately?

Remix albums do yes but it seems "extended mix" albums are counted differently, at least that was the case with the extended mixes album for 'Disco' which was included under the original album. It's hard to say as Kylie's the only the example of an artist I can think of that's released an album of extended mixes.

Yes, looks like all of these have gone to ACR (until January at least):

DCL-3

Bastille ~ Pompeii

Chase & Status and Bou ~ Baddadan (feat. Irah, Flowdan, Trigga and Takura)

Chase & Status and Hedex ~ Liquor & Cigarettes (feat. ArrDee)

Taylor Swift ~ Cruel Summer

Wheatus ~ Teenage Dirtbag

'Cruel Summer' has thus dropped out of Taylor's top 3, replaced by 'Christmas Tree Farm'

New Order did with ‘Complete Music’ which was extended mixes of ‘Music Complete’, which charted as the original album combined, despite technically having a different name.

I have to laugh if the only reason this Kylie release is not being combined with the original album is because they changed the title to make a dumb pun. I can't see any other reason that it's different to the 'DISCO' situation (I wondered if maybe the 'DISCO' extended mix physical version was packaged with the original album or something - that resulted in 'Club Future Nostalgia' being combined with the original 'Future Nostalgia' for Dua for example - but that doesn't seem to be the case).

edit: although given the above post even that doesn't seem like it'd be a reason for them to be separated. So maybe it's either a weird obscure rule change or it'll be combined later in the week.

Oh I noticed 'Christmas Tree Farm' re-entering when skimming the update earlier but it didn't occur to me that was just because of 'Cruel Summer' going to ACR which I'd forgotten about oops. Hadji conspiracies intensify x

I'm sure 'Cruel Summer' will probably just end up re-entering in the top 10 once again in the new year.

Cruel summers run gonna become even randomer in the new year 😭 at least Christmas tree farm is back, can’t believe it hadn’t gone top 40 yet it’s one of my fave modern Xmas tunes!
The Killers going up nicely on the list of most number 1 albums, this will be their 8th and im sure they have at least 1 or 2 more left in them.

From OCC

"Elsewhere in the Top 10, Kylie Minogue’s Extension (The Extended Mixes) is on track to debut at Number 8. Extension acts as a remixed companion LP to her chart-topping 16th album Tension"

Its not getting that combined chart sales/position, shocking from her distributors BMG...... i mean they even tagged on the original versions to grab streams

Unless they split up, I'm sure they have far more than that! They'll get #1s for the rest of their career at this point.

Give or take if they ever schedule a release on a bad enough week. There are plenty of acts who seemed like they'd probably just get #1 with everything they release indefinitely who ended up getting a #2 eventually because of bad release week choices (Take That, Arctic Monkeys, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, even Coldplay briefly although theirs was lucky enough to rise to #1 on a later week).

Agreed though that as long as they're sensible they'll most likely be able to get #1 albums for as long as they exist as a band. It's interesting that 'Rebel Diamonds' will actually be their first non studio album to get to #1 though!

Whys Christmas tree farm been reset though, it's one my favourite Christmas songs but it's over 3 years
It hasn't been reset. (Last week on the audio streaming chart it was #53 while Burl Ives was #46, and they're now around the same position in this week's midweeks - it only wasn't in the top 100 before because it was starred out).

Yes, barring that of course - which doesn't happen that often really.

Does anyone think Britney’s my only wish will peak higher than 68 this year?
