January 10Jan 10 Yes! I feel like it was about 90% of the way there, although possibly needs an update for a couple of more recent songs
January 10Jan 10 I will create a compilation on the best speed garage around in 97/98. Don't know whether all the material is available on spotify, but I got all relevant stuff in my single-CD collection and may upload it to mixcloud otherwise. 😉

The most famous thing was the Armand van Helden Remix of "Professional Widow". Other great charting tunes were 187 Lockdown "Gunman", Double 99 "Ripgroove", Kathy Brown "Turn To Sugar", Serious Danger "Deeper" and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels "People Hold On". I will create something. Edited January 10Jan 10 by DaTilt
January 10Jan 10 Garage 99-2002 would be a good one too so we could get the big hits on there as well as the more underground stuff. It could even be extended to 2008 to add Heartbroken and What's It Gonna Be from the mini revival. Happy for 97/98 speed garage as a precursor to that though. We've also got a few more year albums due (including 2025 which I'm slacking on). And some other fun projects but always open to ideas as Colm says.
January 10Jan 10 I'm looking forward to the Podium 2025.(to see the couple of bangers, one on PFSC and one on BJSC hehehe) Edited January 10Jan 10 by AllStarBySmashMouth

January 13Jan 13 I am going to present 1990. Will need a bit of further screening, but I have a sufficient number of songs to choose from. Unfortunately one #2 is not available on spotify (Gazza & Lindisfarne - Fog on the Tyne), but everything else is there. 1990 was a special year for me as I started listening to music in 1989 and this was my first full year. When I have a first version ready who would like to review my selection?
January 13Jan 13 That sounds great, thanks! Please send it to myself, @Colm and @awardinary when you're ready and we can review it.

February 14Feb 14 Didn't take part in any contests but I know and like Alphaville - Sounds Like A Melody. The melody of the fast bit of that song was sampled by Cappella's 1993 #2 hit 'U Got 2 Let the Music'. 80s influencing 90s! Edited February 14Feb 14 by TheSnake

February 14Feb 14 Thanks for doing this this year Wardy, it is tricky to sequence because such a variety of genres do well on the contests across the forum but you’ve done a grand job. Honoured to have FIVE entries on here, I’m never going to top 2025!
