Thanks Wardy for compiling this! I'd been looking forward to seeing where my own five podium finishers would appear - only disc 2 untouched, I guess my aim for 2026 is to make it onto all 4 discs! Great to see GusGus adjacent to Blanck Mass as my favourite BJSC discovery of the year. I remember voting for many of the songs from other contests but haven't heard a lot of them since, so will be glad to listen to them all again!

Enjoyed listening through the playlist! I was trying to work out what the missing song was, and then I remembered Severin's winning entry to the "1997" edition TBSCITW...E! right at the start of last year isn't on Spotify, Curve - Chinese Burn, so I've given that a re-listen on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jimow8rxOVg

I did notice the Buzzfestivalen top 3 were missing though - was this an editorial because of space per disc, or it not being a regular contest? Hoping it's one of those and not that the contest dragged on for so long and then got so buried in the BJSC forum that everyone forgot about it and Scotland 2's victory there...

Disc 1 Track 1! 🤩

I also made the sweep of featuring on all 4 discs as well - I'd forgotten all about sending Rose Rouge so that was a surprise when I saw it. Definitely one of my most successful years in song contests across the site so all in all a good year!

I always enjoy the yearly compilation as it's a great reminder of what did well and always some I'd forgotten about - thank you for compiling it @awardinary

I counted 7 entries that I've sent in various contests and I didn't think I was going to have as many, considering last half of 2025 was really weird for us, especially in BJSC lol.

Lmao I completely forgot about the Scandipop spinoff and delighted to see Madison Beer on there as well! thought ALT BLK ERA was gonna be it considering how much I sucked at a lot of the genre contests this year (especially the second half of the year)
