Posted December 22, 20231 yr The evidence is clear... 'Tension' severely underperforming her previous 2 albums, 'Hold Onto Now' bombing and now even 'Santa Baby' is not making as much noise as it usually does  Ha career is dead I fear!
December 22, 20231 yr Not forgetting Extension tanking at #75. Ahh well it was a good run for Kylie while it lasted!
December 22, 20231 yr Author Gah that too! Literally from a #1 album to a #75 album in less than a year... unprecedented floppage tbh
December 22, 20231 yr Her career died years ago, she hasn't been relevant since the 80's except for that Xmas album she did! :teresa:

December 23, 20231 yr As sad as I am to agree with this, I have to say that Padam Padam has caused massive damage for her (I said this while it was top 10 in the UK Charts forum as well). I know a lot of Kylie fans who've bought every album of hers for decades, and pretty much all of them were massively put off by Padam Padam, which was nothing like the sort of song that most Kylie fans love from her (classics like 2 Hearts and Better Than Today). What I will say is that she can probably pull it back together if she goes a bit more "classic Kylie" with the new album. But the sudden electropop sex vixen thing needs to go, and she probably shouldn't do songs as experimental and jarring as Tension either. A few of my friends have said that All I See would be a good blueprint for the next album.

Don't hijack my troll thread with serious commentary (I mean in all seriousness though I do think 'Padam Padam' and 'Tension' aren't really album selling songs tbf)
December 23, 20231 yr Jiafei collab when I've seen some prominent Kylie fans on Twitter suggesting that she do a duet album with an AI version of Cilla Black and I honestly think that could be the shot in the arm her career needs.
December 23, 20231 yr She hit her career and artistic peak with ‘Kylie Christmas’ and has never recovered since :drama: Her magnum opus!

December 23, 20231 yr Bad state of affairs when you can only manage a number 1 album, a top 10 single, a top 20 single and 2 further appearances in the top 100 on a calendar year when your over 35 years into you career. Hard for her to recover from such a disaster. Edited December 23, 20231 yr by Padamic Tension

SCREAMING  If we don’t have an AI duet of ‘Surprise, Surprise’ with Cilla and Jane McDonald as a backing dancer then I can’t see how she will survive another era.
December 24, 20231 yr A duet with someone like Michael Bolton or Jane McDonald is just what Kylie needs to re-boost her career. It would be such a career defining moment.
December 24, 20231 yr A duet with someone like Michael Bolton or Jane McDonald is just what Kylie needs to re-boost her career. It would be such a career defining moment. She needs a double duets album with the likes of Michelle McManus, Steve Brookstein, Mollie King, HRVY and Pixie Lott - at least we would be guaranteed a double platinum album with their feverish fanbases snapping up multiples.
December 24, 20231 yr Easily double platinum with a line up like that as it would save her career teaming up with acts like those who always set the charts on fire with anything they release.
