Like I don’t think it’s made the election a done deal but his supporters are gonna be a million times more rampant and it just makes it harder for the rest of us normal folk to fend it off come voting time (especially with people saying they won’t vote for Biden thanks to Israel/Palestine)

That's mostly the analysis I come up with and it seems a huge f***ing relief that the alleged shooter was a registered Republican and there's not an avenue for commentators to start to pin this on 'Biden supporters' or 'The Left' as that'd do it in. If there's vote shifting from this, a big story like this focuses voters' minds on the reality of Trump being back in about as much as it shifts support over to him from moderates thinking he looks good on that photo. Takes some of the heat off Biden's senility too.

 

Copycats or 'revenge' attacks on other politicians could be a real danger though.

Scary stuff. I haven't been following US politics much but I can't believe their best choice of president is between two very old men.

Very troubling events indeed, its a reminder there is way too much gun violence in America anyway.

Having seen all the evidence and footage I don’t really know how he missed or how it was allowed to happen. The conspiracy theorist in me says they were allowing him to get shots off then take him out and dead people can’t speak so whoever groomed him for it wouldn’t be culpable and Trump would be dead. Probably Russia CIA related. Possible it was just negligence but tons of people saw this guy for awhile so it’s odd.

 

The shooter seemed gun trained and the rifle should be perfect aim from there so I’m going to assume he was nervous and wasn’t holding it still and was a bit shaky and that’s why he missed. Usually these shooters tend to be autistic and kind of thinking they’re saving the world and someone encouraged them a little bit. When people call Trump Hitler they subconsciously know they’re being hyperbole and talking rubbish but I think certain autistic people genuinely believe it and if you genuinely believe this is the next hitler then maybe you would consider doing this. Overall a pretty historic event where Trump was probably a couple inches from being assassinated on live TV at a rally. Hopefully there won’t be any revenge type attacks or even copycats. US hosting the World Cup soon, they can’t make any security mistakes. They have to start using drones or something to detect things like this.

Violence and murder is always wrong. That said heres a few things to ponder.

 

Trump is in favour of guns being freely available.

 

Trump chose to hold outside rallies because its cheap with no regard to health and safety.

 

Trump seems to have expressed no condolences to the victims which is par for the course from him. He has no compassion for victims of anything unless he can use it as political rhetoric to benefit him.

 

Trump found the skull-breaking attempted murder of Nancy Pelosi's husband who isnt even a politician so funny he was quoting it for months and making jibes at and to her.

 

I loathe hypocrites.

 

My condolences to those killed and injured and their families. Nobody deserves that for whatever reason.
