January 19, 20242 yr Remind my Madonna vogue It's meant to be a deliberate homage to it, although honestly I get more 'Deeper & Deeper' than 'Vogue'

January 19, 20242 yr People Trolling for calling something a great song? You’ve said some silly stuff this week but that takes the crown Unless we are redefining what great means I don’t see the issue. If you put Ariana’s top 20 songs would it be there? I don’t think so
January 19, 20242 yr Stick Season could very well pull off a Dance Monkey at this rate I reckon, that's very impressive for him to beat a lead off Ariana single I definitely think it’s big enough but guess it will depend on what else comes along plus ACR dodging
January 19, 20242 yr Unless we are redefining what great means I don’t see the issue. If you put Ariana’s top 20 songs would it be there? I don’t think so Because you can’t call someone a troll for saying they like something? Your one sided obsession with making sure we know you think the song is a flop is the only thing close to trolling in the conversation x
January 19, 20242 yr Stick Season could very well pull off a Dance Monkey at this rate I reckon, that's very impressive for him to beat a lead off Ariana single Yeah looks like it might be #1 for the rest of 'stick season' in the UK. We don't really get much snow so its 'stick season' really for most of the winter.
January 19, 20242 yr Unless we are redefining what great means I don’t see the issue. If you put Ariana’s top 20 songs would it be there? I don’t think so FFS. I'm not even particularly a fan of the song but you have been beyond tiresome this week.

January 19, 20242 yr The much superior song won. Without 88 tricks also. Yay. I love Noah and his album.
January 20, 20242 yr I was hoping for Ariana to get #1 but wasn't expecting it, yay for another top 2 hit though (and based on a quick peep of the sales thread it would have been a strong selling #2 hit even if you subtract the "88 tricks" which as I predicted only amounted to a few thousand each of physicals and downloads, and with no way to know how many of the latter actually came from the extra versions). Still really liking 'Stick Season' too and with it doing such crazy numbers and still growing as of this week so deep into its run it cannot be begrudged an extended run at #1. Could really do without Teddy Swims being in the top 5 now, I think I've actually liked it less with each listen so far oops, it's not bad but I don't really get why it's blown up so much. Yay for 'Unwritten' going top 20 though *.* and ooh I wasn't expecting to see 'Black Friday' back in as high as #31, shame it didn't get played but great that Tom has another song showing legitimate longevity. Need to listen to 21 Savage's album soon but a good amount of chart growth for him with all 3 of the charting songs just about beating the peak of his previous highest charting song as lead artist! Poor brave 'redrum' being denied becoming his first solo top 10 hit because of spurious resets but might still climb in in a later week I guess? Also hooray that 'Surround Sound' did indeed come back from the midweeks to secure 4 simultaneous top 40s for 21 Savage + scrape a third top 40 week and a second chart show play :cheer: I'm not exactly excited to listen to the D-Block Europe song but credit to them for continuing to give a platform to rappers from continental Europe rapping in their own language, whether or not it's any good it's kind of cool to have a verse rapped mostly in Albanian appearing on a UK top 20 hit. Boo at the inevitable finally happening with DBE registering a #1 on one of the major charts though -_- let's hope they at least stay well clear of a #1 single after the scare we had with 'Prada'. Unfortunately really not feeling the Flo Milli track, the instrumental is kinda decent I guess but the vocals just sound like a mediocre Doja Cat ripoff with a dead on arrival attempt at a hook which really makes the song feel like it's dragging despite only being just over 2 minutes long (and I discovered the other day the instrumental is actually ripped straight from another song, this song is basically just a freestyle over the instrumental of Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg's 'Ron Artest', should give the original a listen to see if slightly more effort was put into the vocals :kink:)
January 20, 20242 yr Kinda feel sorry for Ariana after the great sales but the song is crap so glad the better song won this time for once :D
January 20, 20242 yr Without all the actual sales Ariana would have been 57-59k so a decent selling no2 but nothing out of the ordinary tbf.
January 20, 20242 yr Without all the actual sales Ariana would have been 57-59k so a decent selling no2 but nothing out of the ordinary tbf. Her streaming total alone would still be the 10th highest sales for a #2 since the start of 2022 (it was beaten 5 times in 2022 and 4 times last year), and of course 2 of those were the super inflated post Christmas weeks, so I would say it is out of the ordinary!
