March 9, 20241 yr Official recording is much better, can really hear them both properly. I understand why Madonna sings this version on her tour after her major health scare last year but it is pitched so low it’s a bit of a dirge. Love it when she says ‘Motherf@ckers’, she’s so funny. March 9, 20241 yr I can't see it going beyond this really... I think they've now ticked off the "appear together" box and that'll be that! I think I prefer them having done it this way, a mutual show of support to each other on stage that seemed truly genuine and touching, and it was iconic. As opposed to the pressure and expectations of what a recorded duet would be like / how well it would perform commercially. I think if there was ever going to be a natural time for a single to have happened, it probably should have been in the 2000s at the latest.
March 9, 20241 yr Other than “4 seconds” and the Britney song, had Madge had any success wirh duets? I hope there is no commercial release as no matter what we say, there will be inherent expectations from and the focus on the video budget, chart performance, streaming numbers, chart positions, etc. and we’re asking for a disappointment in all departments. It’s 2024. This would’ve worked in 2003.
