Reminder there's no First Look show this week and we're unlikely to get an update from the OCC tomorrow at all (template above just in case!). Official Chart Update will be Tuesday due to the bank holiday on Monday.
Surprised to see no physical release for Cowboy Carter in the shops
If my estimates are correct I’m giving Beyonce a 1800 sales lead over Benson for the first two days so Benson needs to gain 360 sales per day to stay 1
It will be interesting to see if Beyonce can outdo Dolly's peak of #7 with 'Jolene' (I believe that's the highest version to chart).

Which two other Beyoncé songs are likely to be in the chart with ‘Texas Hold Em’ this week?

For me I’m thinking ‘Jolene’ and ‘II Most Wanted’, though I’d have preferred one of them to be ‘Bodyguard’.

Cowboy Carter coming out on April 12 physically wise, taking that into account, I except it to have at least two weeks at number one be it non consecutively

I doubt it will get that much of a boost. Most people who want the album will have bought it online anyway

so you can buy online but not on stores? that's weird

I think it will still get a boost enough to go back to #1. Her store’s shipping is very expensive (like £8 minimum), plus I’d imagine a lot of people don’t bother finding the artist’s store and just buy from Amazon or HMV. There’s a bit of a controversy with the physical edition though, it’s missing 5 tracks and has no booklet and minimal packaging, a lot of fans are calling it false advertising and speculating it’s an older version of the album as it has no reference to the Cowboy Carter title and has “Beyincé” on the spine. I think the version coming in April has the full tracklist so that might help it then too. Tbh she should’ve just saved the extra tracks until then and called it a deluxe, the physical rollout is a bit of a mess!

It will likely be those two. They're the highest on all the straming services after "TEXAS HOLD 'EM". "JOLENE" is probably a shoe in for top 10. "II MOST WANTED" may go top 10 as well, although I can see it falling out as the week goes on. Granted it may end up holding really well on streaming with the playlist support it has.

It should get a decent boost, but I'm not sure if it'll be enough to overcome Future & Metro Boomin's second album of the year to reach #1 again.

I don't think their second album will do as well as the first (watch me be completely wrong). I think if Beyoncé's album holds on decently, the physical release could boost it to do 15-20k that week, which should be enough to beat Future & Metro Boomin's second album?

Future and Metro Boomin weren’t able to beat Elnow, and I don’t think they’ll against Beyonce, also Mark Knopfler and James should do well on physicals that week

Beyonce for the double

Boosted, of course, by the release of its parent album COWBOY CARTER, TEXAS HOLD ‘EM is on course to ascend to the top of the Official Singles Chart for a fifth non-consecutive week.

Two more COWBOY CARTER tracks could also impact the Top 10; Bey’s take on Dolly Parton’s classic JOLENE (5) and II MOST WANTED (8), a duet with Miley Cyrus.

Newies on the album chart:

1. Beyonce - COWBOY CARTER

2. Ride - Interplay

10. Sum 41 - Heaven :x: Hell

18. While She Sleeps - SELF HELL

20. j-hope - HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1

30. Sheryl Crow - Evolution

While She Sleeps would be higher, but they say they've had some sales discounted.

We’ve just heard the news that Self Hell has a shot at being in the top 10 UK album charts, we never expected this as all the records sold through our personal store aren’t chart eligible sales. (We do this because it means we can support local business in Sheffield and make sure our store operates how we want it). But all the sales from traditional record stores do count & there might be enough for us to have a top 10 album! If you want to help that dream become a reality, pick up an album from any independent record store, rough trade, banquet, HMV and let’s make Sleeps history with Self Hell.

Looks possible that we could have the first case since 'Three Lions'/'Killing Me Softly' in 1996 of back to back #1s then both having back to back returns to #1 (i.e. if 'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' hangs on at #1 this week then gets knocked off by 'Beautiful Things' again next week).

Seems possible that Beyoncé's version of 'JOLENE' will outpeak the original, I was shocked to discover yesterday though that in the US the original only peaked at #60! (Conversely '9 To 5' was a US #1 while missing the top 40 here of course).
