April 30, 20241 yr Author I suppose Compilation tag could work for BuzzJack Presents too if Colm and Rich were happy to do that, but generally I can’t see it being used often for threads. Also, as a side note, does everything in the genre forums presently need to be tagged "Other" if it doesn’t fit into any other category of genre tag? I would rather still have use of the generic tags for things like survivors, polls, quizzes etc… unless… someday down the line these types of threads get their own custom tags too maybe. But that seems a little much maybe. Simplicity for the win! :D I'll remove compilation then! I'd say everything in the genre forums should have a tag of some sort to make the system really work, but we could potentially have "Contest" for UP/Club Bizarre/etc and "Game" tags for survivors and rates?
April 30, 20241 yr Author I much prefer when artists was at the top rather than the bottom. Not sure what you mean!
April 30, 20241 yr The AF forums used to be below Genre forums didn't they? But they got demoted down the index page  Also, I MUCH prefer the darker blue on the heading, looks a lot more classy imo~

But they got demoted down the index page  Also, I MUCH prefer the darker blue on the heading, looks a lot more classy imo~ Maybe a link could be placed in the third column of the index panel at the top to this page for easy reference for ones wanting a quick link? http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/View-All-Artists-f13.html
April 30, 20241 yr Author I think the AFs have been low down as long as I've been here, it'd be easy enough to move them up (and quite honestly, it'd make sense - the music sections are all at the top before the non-music sections, then it goes back to music)
April 30, 20241 yr I'm not a fan of the categories but loving all the other changes x The categories feel like they're cluttering the page
April 30, 20241 yr Author Darker blue is here to stay then! :magic: No artist tab at top of page. Honestly I didn't realise anyone ever used it! It's still there on the homepage or by clicking this link but it's sooooo ugly that I want to draw as little attention to it as possible  (see also: Reviews, and other than the homepage, they're the only two pages linked at the top of the forum that don't directly connect to the Admin CP so are less easy to try and tidy) Would love to move the AFs a bit further up the forum though, I've always believed they're far too buried where they are - they'd make more sense below genres quite honestly!
April 30, 20241 yr I'm not a fan of the categories but loving all the other changes x The categories feel like they're cluttering the page They're the bit that it is taking me longest to adjust to as well. I'm going to give it time because I got used to the new member/moderator/etc bits in the post profiles

April 30, 20241 yr Author :kink: They're the bit that it is taking me longest to adjust to as well. I'm going to give it time because I got used to the new member/moderator/etc bits in the post profiles Yup I think we just need time to adjust, I appreciate the open-minded approach here (and it's part of a wider genre forum initiative which is still being finalised, which is why we've not really mentioned the tags yet, but please embrace them because otherwise nobody will ever get used to them!)
April 30, 20241 yr I agree with that Just an observation, but as a genre mod did you not have ample opportunity before these changes happened to raise concerns with Joseph/mgmt? I remember around the time of the survey the genre forums tags, etc were all mentioned?

April 30, 20241 yr The Compilation tag sure was important to discuss. It was a thought I had after seeing it being applied. As for tags being a bit of a clutter, I imagine it's because they stand out a lot not only for being new additions but (maybe) for the font used or size/width.
