May 3, 20242 yr Yay for double Amy returning - I'd rather have heard 'Back To Black' but this is a good cover
May 3, 20242 yr She has, Jack mentioned it at the beginning! Thank God Edited May 3, 20242 yr by Jason
May 3, 20242 yr Author I'd much rather have heard Back to Black personally, I don't really like Valerie no matter who sings it :( but cool to see Amy back in the top 40
May 3, 20242 yr 'Fortnight' CD is definitely only mainly for US chart purposes (with releases on her global store so that all her fans didn't "miss out") I reckon. I don't think she did enough to overcome Sabrina's lead.
May 3, 20242 yr The original 'Valerie' from The Zutons was far better than the overrated Amy version.
May 3, 20242 yr nice to see 2x amy here! b2b is the one i prefer more, but valerie is a solid tune and its more 'friday' vibe than back to black i guess!
May 3, 20242 yr The original 'Valerie' from The Zutons was far better than the overrated Amy version. I like the Zutons version but Amy elevated it imo
May 3, 20242 yr also would have preferred Back to Black Valerie is such a silly song, the Zutons original was abysmal, Amy made this just tolerable
May 3, 20242 yr Author Why don't they make the song for this competition something that's actually in the chart

May 3, 20242 yr haven't heard this in like 10 years or something Surprising, it's one of those songs I feel like I always hear everywhere I go!
May 3, 20242 yr Guess it would make sense not to play 'Back To Black' at the weekend but it's also my preferred of the two. Was never a fan of the original 'Valerie' personally so the better one is in.
