Is Taylor Swift more of an album artist now? Didn’t expect Fortnight to be dropping so quickly.

I'd say she has been for a while other than Antihero and Cruel summer they do t tend to have long runs , whereas she constantly has at least 5 albums top 40

Dua could’ve denied Taylor a second week at #1 on the albums if she’d released a week earlier

Not necessarily it would have been a lot closer but not guaranteed as Taylor did 49k last week

the Dua figures are great

but in my opinion this is a testimony of how big Future Nostalgia was,

just imagine how much bigger the sales could be this big if the current album and singles were better

Yep it’ll be interesting to see what DL4 does off the back of RO.

That’s why I said could’ve, not would’ve

Taylor has released a new CD edition of TTPD only available for 24 hours for £7.99 - could give her quite a sales boost!

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's not shipping this week.

Song is ass. Only got to no.1 due to curiosity plus armies of Swifties.

She really knows how to milk those stans dry with all these physical variants.

They don't seem to mind but it almost feels like a toxic relationship how she fleeces her fans sometimes.

It is so odd that Taylor’s #1s here are definitely not her biggest or most impactful hits.

Look What You Made Me Do

Anti-Hero

Is It Over Now

Fortnight

Anti-Hero is the only one that I would say is even in her top 10 biggest hits

I agree it does seem odd on the surface, although 'Look What You Made Me Do' was coming off the back of 1989 and the other three are leads since her popularity went properly stratospheric.

I think others not making it there beforehand was a lot down to luck and timing, there was always something bigger around.

Definitely better sales than I expected for Dua, I thought she may struggle to beat Taylor's third week sales but looks like she'll be #1 very comfortably. Looks like she'll be debuting at #3 again in the US behind Taylor and Morgan Wallen (lol) but that's also better than I would have predicted before the start of the week.

Great to see Tommy Richman hopefully safely on course for top 10 this week (might fall behind 'Not Like Us' I guess), such a jam. Hopefully a future top 5 if not a #1 contender. Kinda here for the Shaboozey song continuing to rise too.

Yes it all makes sense really, and she was very unlucky not to have a #1 until 2017, but it just highlights that peaks aren’t the most reliable indicator of success.

I knew Dua was chasing close to 40k for albums! Idk why people didn't think she would and were predicting about 25k....

"Dropping so quickly" being 1-2-4....... yeah so quick. Y'all love to exaggerate things  Anyone would think it was out of the top 20 by how you guys bang on about it... (P.s. I'm a fan of quick turnarounds at number 1 and think 'Fortnight' is pacing about right for how people feel about it. It's addictive.

Probably because of how badly it's doing on streaming. But she does have like 12 variants.
it would be cool to see two new entries from Kendrick in the top 10! not sure if he'll manage it though. if 'meet the grahams' and 'Not Like Us' had a full 7 days of sales he might have ended up with 3 in the top 20!

Well not really because she would have just gone back to number one this week
