Looks like it was a smart move for Billie to switch strategies and not release any singles before this album. The last album having so many singles (and most of them getting a pretty mixed reception) must have somewhat depressed the excitement for the actual album release. Lucky for her that the album itself was better received and she saved the biggest song from it for the album release so she was still in a good position going into this album (the success of 'What Was I Made For?' can't have hurt either).

It is odd how/why she's released a digital version of the album for 6 HOURS ONLY!!11, surely there's an unlimited, infinite amount of them available so why the exclusivity? It preys on her stans and forces them them make impulse buys because they won't be available after the time limit. I don't see the need!?

 

I hope Billie has huge opening day numbers - the album is incredible!

This had a lot to do with toxic fans, plus late credits to Taylor on liv songs for “similarities”. A lot of fans did sort of make the supposed beef worse than it was, as at the Grammys Taylor was singing along to livs performance so seemingly they’re fine, I imagine liv wanted to separate herself from being with Taylor to establish herself as her own artist

This, but fans are getting sick of it, at first they’d be eating it up but every time they announce a new variant loads of the comments are criticising the unnecessary amount. Hopefully she listens to her fans and stops the bullshit soon

 

For these ones I’ve also seen a lot of someone “taking one for the team” and buying it and then sharing the download with loads of people so I don’t think it’ll contribute too many sales

New Luke Combs is at #171! Good to see that he’s big enough now to enter with a soundtrack single that hasn’t been pushed much.

 

Hopefully the lead single from his next album can debut Top 40.

Speaking of variants, didn't Billie recently go on a massive rant about artists who have loads of physical variants for environmental reasons, and she has... how many for this? I can see 8 on her official store at least.

 

It reminds me of when Lorde said she wouldn't release her album on CD to help the environment, but had a truckload of vinyl for it :lol:
