June 25, 20241 yr Good grief someone voted for DBE! Quite the variety in that last batch. Great to see Cake, I only know The Distance but what a tune that is.
June 25, 20241 yr The only voter for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds! Scandal! I really like them and had though i had included them but obviously i didnt.
June 26, 20241 yr Voice Of The Beehive is a great shout! I quite like the songs I've heard from Cake as well, I actually didn't realize any had charted in the UK.
June 26, 20241 yr The only voter for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds! Scandal! Rightly or wrongly, I class Noel as a solo act, so I voted for him in the male solo artists category. I'm pretty sure he picked up more votes in that thread! Eiffel 65 appearing only though they've had two hits - have we had anyone with just one hit yet? Echoing the love for Voice Of The Beehive, they had some great songs! Edited June 26, 20241 yr by Mangø
June 26, 20241 yr Eiffel 65 appearing only though they've had two hits - have we had anyone with just one hit yet? Quite a few - Friendly Fires, Two Door Cinema Club, Of Monsters and Men, Travelling Wilburys, Air Supply, Ghost etc
June 26, 20241 yr Although calling some of those one-hit wonders feels quite wrong! Especially Two Door Cinema Club and Ghost.

June 26, 20241 yr Only really Hard-Fi from this section of any interest to me, loved their first album
June 26, 20241 yr Only really Hard-Fi from this section of any interest to me, loved their first album Same for me and the housemartins.
June 26, 20241 yr I was the only voter for Hard-Fi? Well that's just rude. Absolutely loved their first two albums and they still sound great today.
June 27, 20241 yr Cream my first casualty. :o Great shouts with LCD Soundsystem and Jimi Hendrix Experience!

June 27, 20241 yr Great to see XTC, The Bangles and T’Pau in there. 3 bands whose music I’ve bought, back in the day.
June 27, 20241 yr I loved quite a few of Zero 7’s early singles but they lost me a bit after the second album. Destiny, In The Waiting Line and Somersault are all gorgeous. Alcazar had those three good hits here but they are so much more than just those songs - a perfect pop group <3 Stay The Night, Blame It On The Disco, Alcastar, Thank You, Not A Sinner Nor A Saint and so many more.
