Two Door Cinema Club and Friendly Fires both really deserve to have had more than just the one top 40 hit, and in both cases the one that did go top 40 is nowhere near their best work ('Kiss Of Life' is ok, was never massively keen on 'Changing Of The Seasons'). Not sure I'd have voted for them but between them they pumped out a lot of feel good indie tunes in their prime x

Feels a bit too low for The KLF but then I suppose they don't have that expansive of a discography, cool to see them getting 3 voters anyway. Glad to see Public Enemy getting a nod too. Not sure I'd have considered 'Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood' to be a group but I suppose you could say the same about Silk Sonic tbf

Is KLF the first band to have three votees?
Aww at me being the only Friendly Fires voter. They have released 3 amazing albums so I’m a big fan!

2nd hit with my 10-pointer :D

Be interesting to see which is the next to fall, as I can see the rest of mine potentially having others vote for them as well (we shall see though)

Oh, my +10 had another voter! :o
KLF almost got 4 but I had to bump them when I realised I'd missed some acts that I should have voted for

The KLF were absolute class, one of the best dance acts of the 90s, but I guess they were a bit too short-lived to have that much of a lasting impact (their controversial antics aside). '3am Eternal' still sounds amazing to this day

Love Feeder too, one of the best pop-Britpop indie bands, so many classics, but sadly they just missed out on my votes.

Chiddy Bang were a duo? I always thought he was a rapper lol.

Chiddy Bang were a duo? I always thought he was a rapper lol.

This is the same case as La Roux (and also similar to Dario G for a topical comparison) - the name was originally for a duo of a vocalist and a producer but the producer later left and the vocalist continued releasing music under the group name as a solo artist. Although all the charting songs for Chiddy Bang were while they were still a duo, and the rapper also had a solo hit where he was billed as just Chiddy (the You Me At Six collab 'Rescue Me') as that was also before the duo split.

Aww Voice Of The Beehive is a very cute choice. A real mixed bag otherwise today haha!

KLF of course were brilliant but slightly too short lived for me to include.

I had to make sure Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich got a mention as they’re one of my favourite underrated 60s acts. My favourites are:

Zabadek!

Bend It

The Legend Of Xanadu

Hearsay only having 4 hits !! And only one memorable!!
Awww. I had a feeling no one else would vote for Voice Of The Beehive. That’s the 3rd of the first 4 of my potential New Entries gone - but at least someone else voted for my 6 pointer (I assume they are a new entry as I didn’t spot them in last year‘s poll).

Nice to see Limp Bizkit, Motorhead and High Flying Birds make an appearance and getting some credit. All great bands that could have ended up on my list if I did it another day.

I think I've only had 3 go out so far (Maximo Park, Boston, Last Shadow Puppets), so interested to see who else voted for my picks as they come up.

I love Voice of the Beehive but they didn't have enough material that I like to warrant inclusion - they do have a really solid set of singles though from the late 80s, early 90s
