Orbital have really risen in my affections over the past 5 years. I always liked them, but I've come to appreciate just how consistently great they were with their singles - and have some solid albums too. In particular 'In Sides' is one of my all time favourites now.

A little bit sad that nobody else voted for them - but even more sad that they're a new entry which means even I forgot about them last time we did this!

En Vogue, Kaiser Chiefs, I really like! Used to be obsessed with KC back in the day when
A shame no-one else went for the Kaisers! Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if no-one else voted for my Top 2 either but there have been a few of mine I expected to show up that haven't so who knows!

Mumford & Sons at almost exactly the same place as last time - they got my vote again because I charted their Pharrell collab 'Good People' in January which I'd all but forgotten already but 'The Cave' is a huge favourite of mine with 'Sigh No More' and 'I Will Wait' next in line from them.

The Kaisers and Orbital are ones who got away for me because I passed up on charting anything from their recent albums, but there's plenty of earlier stuff I like from both, especially 'The Box' from the latter, and Super Furry Animals are a great shout too.

Showtek! :cheeseblock: The only hardstyle-originated DJs that had UK hits, though they were not hardstyle (indeed Styles & Breeze had hard dance hits, but they're happy hardcore which was an older subgenre than hardstyle, and I'm not going to accept Scooter's song that 'stole' Headhunterz's melody :P ).

An almost maximum points for them this period, since they actually still showed some love to hardstyle community unlike Tiësto and trance.

My Top 30 is a generic choice, so I hope they will secure at least Top 10!

Wasn't expecting to be the only voter for Iron Maiden - but it seems in line with the trend for rock bands not to pick up too many votes in this.

My 30 pointer will have almost certainly have been picked by others. Not expecting to see that one for a while.

I do love a lot of tracks by Iron Maiden and Travis. But neither are close to my top 30.

I knew I’d be the only voter for Five Star - but I still kept my fingers crossed. I still listen to their music regularly and it fills me with joy (well, their first 4 albums).

Fun fact: Deniece, the lead singer of Five Star (who seems to constantly change the spelling of her name) is younger than Kylie yet had the last of her 12 top 20 hits before Kylie released her debut album - despite the fact that Kylie was considered a teen star.

I'm glad I wasn't the only voter for Travis! They're still consistently good for me, even with their new album released yesterday.

Tomorrow we'll have a recap of who we've lost and the first posters chart! I can also reveal that yes, there are some 30 pointers getting the chop and also our first act to attract 4 voters!
Damn, Iron Maiden are a good one! Forgot about them, only 1 voter too!

That is a fun fact!

Well done to ...Ready for it, Spiceboy, and Jay who have yet to lose an act!

Lukas Graham was quite close to getting some points from me. Not really liking their Hard Knock Life interpolation, but 7 Years and Lose Someone were quite good hits.

Good to see Disturbed getting other pointers. Besides the revival of the Simon & Garfunkel cover, Decadence was quite nostalgic as an NFS Most Wanted soundtrack and their latest album quite slapped too (I really recommend that collab with Ann Wilson of Heart).
