It would seem Jordin Sparks could only last half through this 'Battlefield' as her 2009 hit drops out in 5th place in a close battle. It was written by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder who was having a hot year as a songwriter with the big Beyoncé hit 'Halo' a few months prior and also writing for Kelly Clarkson as well whereas his group didn't have a lot of success that year. It was very unlucky of making the top 10 being denied not once, not twice but THREE times peaking at 11. It still did tremendously in the end though. Admittedly did have this pegged down as at least a finalist if not top 3 at maximum so a bit of a surprise exit here at this point!
