Rap superstar Eminem is currently on track to secure his 11th UK Number 1 single, and first in four years. Surprise drop Houdini gains a healthy lead ahead of Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso, and is predicted to debut atop the Official Singles Chart come Friday.

 

Responsible for some of modern rap’s most iconic tracks, Eminem last topped the Official Singles Chart in 2020 with Godzilla featuring the late Juice WRLD. Houdini sees the return of his alter-ego Slim Shady, and precedes a new album due later this summer.

 

To date, Eminem has gained 10 UK Number 1 singles. In order, they are; The Real Slim Shady (2000), Stan (2000), Without Me (2002), Lose Yourself (2002), Just Lose It (2004), Like Toy Soldiers (2005), Smack That with Akon (2006), The Monster with Rihanna (2013), River with Ed Sheeran (2017) and Godzilla with Juice Wrld (2020).

 

After celebrating his first ever UK Top 10 single last week with Stargazing, Myles Smith could move up to a brand-new peak of Number 8.

It’ll be disappointing if Eminem is the one to knock Sabrina off after she kept her #1 over Billie and post Malone, both of those are much more deserving of #1 than eminems one, it’s rubbish lmao

I’d like to see Eminem get to no1 to continue his longevity chart wise to a quarter century but can’t say I’m into ‘Houdini’ much, usually not a fan of his jokey releases. The second single is normally a more serious one!

Beyonce and Eminem both getting 1’s incredible longevity. Eminem has a lot of slightly older fans so I imagine he will get more downloads than a normal 1 would, so probably 5k+ ahead already with big missing youtube data to add to it.

Don’t think the track is anything great, lacking the wit of some of his other Slim Shady tracks but willl be good to get a new #1 and for Eminem to continue his total so far into his career.

The excellent Smack That No 1 single from November 2006 was credited to Akon, with Eminem as a featured artist only - so not in my Eminem records... who has had 9 No 1s, all spent 1 week at No 1.

I can’t see Eminem getting another #1 after this one, so have no issue with him getting it this week. Be nice to see him have a solo #1 after the last 4 of his relying on features.

 

Given the small difference on Spotify, I am not expecting Houdini to hold all week still.

I didn’t think ‘Godzilla’ would have got to no1 that was a huge surprise for me!

We do not stan men using women's trauma to get a quick #1 single. Hope Sabrina takes it.

I didn’t realise Like Toy Soldiers was his last solo #1 :o Almost 20 years ago. I don’t really mind who gets #1 but still can’t see him keeping up with Sabrina throughout the week.
