It’s very Spice Girls of them to be making some of the most forgettable and disappointing pop music solo.

I do think Jade will deliver though. Hopefully.

I turn to you and Mi chico Latino and what took you so long and Maybe are forgettable LOL and I can go on and on

Tears is one of the most boring things I've heard all year, sadly.
It is screaming for a remix. Someone like Joel Corry or Rudimental could really elevate the track if they worked their magic. Then it should replace the current version as the promoted/main one.

I think a brand new song with a DJ would be better.

I'm waiting for a banger from Perrie or a big power ballad.

Totally wrong choice for single 2 - and #45 in the mids is grim with 3 x physicals and 4 download versions available for 59p on iTunes.

Saying it's the wrong choice is assuming she has anything better 🫢

This didn’t appear to even be a contender for a single. She was teasing Rollercoaster and ‘Tears’ wasn’t one of the 6 songs played at the listening parties so it must have been a relatively last minute decision when they saw Espresso doing well.

Give us a banger or a power ballad Perrie.

I'm not sure why you all think this is down to Espresso, it would be more likely the label are panicing that they threw everything at Forget about us (it must have had some serious airplay deals and plugging) and its chart run was a damp squib. So they are throwing plans up in the air already.

Perrie said she recorded it a year and a half ago because the label boss liked it and sent it to her. He must think it is good to suggest it and I'm sure it must be his choice to push it now. He must have woeful taste though which is the problem.

At this stage I'm starting to feel like Syco weren't that bad for them. Literally at this stage 3/4 of them have made a string of baffling solo career moves.

Syco had good A&R such as sourcing out decent producers/writers but they were a dreadful label.

How though?

Syco were fantastic business wise with them - on all the major TV shows (X-Factor multiple times including the finale 3 times, Britains Got Talent finale, Graham Norton, Alan Carr, One Love Manchester), playlisting on all the radio stations, collaborations with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Jason Derulo and had them performing at the Brit Awards twice under them (although not sure if the Brits are in charge of that or not).

They may have a nightmare behind the scenes but let's not forget when Little Mix left Syco and went to RCA they were releasing trash like Bounce Back and One I've Been Missing and were at their lowest point commercially...

This interview isn't the best. When the interviewer asks her about the making of Tears she can't seem to say much other than quoting some of the lyrics "it's just about not caring"... :gaga: She also says she has songs she loves on the album but they are more third/fourth singles... yet Tears is the best option for single 2?
