Almost s carbon copy of the Romania goal yesterday.

Portugal about to pull a Belgium here, all the ball and zero end product.

Well they needed the opposition to score for them.

I don't get why we had all that messing about with drawing lines if there was an automated version

I think it's new technology - but it needs bringing into the premier league asap to make it watchable again.

It's coming next season. They've used this tech for a while in UEFA competitions, but this iteration is definitely quicker than the one I've seen in the Champions/Europa League.

Only one shot on target for Czech Republic but what a shot it was! But in the end it was probably the right result with Portugal just edging it. Looks like this group will be wide open.

Just realised that this group is almost a mirror of Group A from Euro 2008. Just swap Georgia for Switzerland and it will be the exact same teams in the group.

Portugal mentality is still there!

Premier League will till find a way to f*** it up and make dumb decisions every week.

Turkey-Georgia was a really good match. I’m still a bit disappointed that Greece didn’t win the play-off and we missed the chance for the Portugal rematch 20 years after Euro 2004 but at least Georgia look like they’re going to provide some entertainment.

The Portugal-Czech Republic was a bit dull though. Howler from the goalie for the equaliser. I imagine it’s the same shouts from fans in Portugal to what we usually see in England as they have so much attacking talent but their formation doesn’t seem to exploit that. They do look like they’ll be very difficult to play against though. It really worked in not letting Czech Republic get any respite as they couldn’t get the ball upfield.

Hard to work out how good this Portugal side is. Martinez got a bit unlucky with Belgium in their draws in the major tournaments, especially in 2018. Be interested to see how the Portugal team fare up against some good pace as their back line looks weak. Pretty mad Pepe still starts for them

Would love Georgia to pull out a win today! :cheer:

They need to win, if they lose and Portugal beat Turkey they'll be the second team out. At the point the 3rd round of group matches is going to be incredibly boring as everybody will just be playing for position rather than any real jeopardy.
